Airswift is recruiting a Business Development Manager for a 2-year contract position based in Guyana with a leading company in the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) sector. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and expanding market opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Growth & Market Expansion:
  • Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities in the energy sector, focusing on diversifying the client base.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, including potential clients, government agencies, and partners.
  • Lead the preparation of proposals, bids, and presentations to secure new contracts.
  • Analyze market trends and the competitive landscape to identify strategic growth opportunities.
Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with both existing and potential clients.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for business inquiries and client negotiations.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by addressing concerns and providing tailored solutions.
Strategic Planning & Execution:
  • Develop and implement a structured business development strategy aligned with the company’s goals.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment of business development efforts with operational capabilities.
  • Monitor and report on business development performance metrics.
Partnerships & Networking:
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  • Establish strategic alliances and collaborations to enhance service offerings.
Revenue Generation & Contract Management:
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure profitable deals.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with company policies and legal requirements.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualification is a plus).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, preferably in the energy sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully driving business growth and managing client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of the energy industry and its dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
