Service Description:
The purchasing team is responsible for the purchasing strategy and the sourcing of contracting projects, as well as for supplier and active contract management. This mainly includes electrical works and civil engineering projects in high-voltage substations, work on high-voltage lines and the realisation of underground cable connections.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage purchase files completely autonomously from tender to award (sending, selection, negotiation, etc.) and therefore has an important responsibility in the choice of contractor and the agreed contract conditions.
  • Show added value at a tactical and strategic level by drawing up and implementing a structured and (innovative) project procurement strategy in accordance with the existing procurement policy.
  • Contributes to the product strategy and market analysis.
  • Supplier management and to maintaining positive long-term relationships with key contractors. The focus is on risks, threats but also on opportunities.
  • Supervises improvement processes with the contractors where necessary pre-competition phase for major projects.
  • Leads several MFTs (multifunctional teams) or working groups in the field aimed at creating impact or co-creation of future.
  • Follow-up of the projects in progress (from a commercial / contractual point of view), including monitoring and negotiating additional costs that are charged, ensuring that the contractual conditions are met (quality, planning, safety, etc.) which requires visits to the site (shipyard).
  • Building bridges with suppliers to achieve our goals for the energy transition. This is in close cooperation with the Supplier Manager.
  • Coordination with 50Hertz (Berlin, Germany) to share insights.
  • Sharing your market and category knowledge when negotiating contractual terms.
Additional Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a technical or commercial domain or have a technical-economic background through experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional purchasing experience and driven by a critical mindset, autonomy and ambition.
  • Regular presence in the field and therefore making trips (Belgium) will be important.
  • Autonomous and goal oriented, ensuring efficiency in a reliable and sustainable way.
  • Team-oriented, problem-solving, creative, innovative, customer focus and effective communication.
  • Experienced in MS Office.
  • Language skills: English, French and Dutch.
