Project: Boden - 6 billion EUR green steel project site
We are on a mission to disrupt the global steel industry by producing green steel, with the end goal of bringing down CO2 emissions to zero. Our green steel production in Boden will be powered by one of the world’s largest green hydrogen plants, running on renewable electricity. Instead of emitting large amounts of CO?, as in traditional steelmaking processes, our primary emission will be water. By 2030, our ambition is to produce 5 million tonnes of green steel annually in our fully integrated, digitalized, and sustainable plant in Boden, located in northern Sweden - currently in construction phase. The facility will impact, and shape, the surroundings as well as the perception of Boden, with the aim that it will be seen as a symbol for the much-needed green transition of heavy industry.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake and/or coordinate technical review of subcontractor data submissions typically including. quality plans, process and personnel qualifications and construction records and certification.
- Witness subcontractor procedures and executions in accordance with specification and regulatory requirements.
- Witness/review of subcontractor inspection and test activities and records in accordance with specification/code requirements in accordance with approved inspection and test plans.
- Competently undertake and document inspection and test activities as specified in approved inspection and test plans.
- Facilitate client or independent meeting activities as specified when required during the project
- Monitor subcontractor design change procedures & documentation.
- Monitor subcontractor non-conformance and corrective action processes, and where necessary, raise non-conformance notes and help subcontractor with disposition of non-conforming works.
- Facilitate review of final & ongoing construction documentation during the project
- Analyze and report on subcontractor performance for input into re-qualification and management review processes.
- Deliver quality services and demonstrate a commitment to understand and meet customer needs.
- Travel as required, including travel related to projects
Qualifications:
- Recognized degree and/or technical competencies for the assigned scope (Civil).
- Relevant discipline or equivalent qualification/experience
- Minimum 5-year Experience in the relevant discipline in the same or similar industry (Civil), preferably infrastructure or heavy industry
- Minimum 2-year Experience in Quality
- Good knowledge of Office-programs
- Good knowledge of AB04
- Thorough understanding of the principles and practice of inspection management.
- Pro-active, goal oriented with excellent attention to detail.
- Effectively manages change to work tasks and the work environment and assists others with adapting to change.
- Good Communication skills, including filtering what is important for the project
- Flexible in terms of coverage of other inspectors
- Good skills in terms of having multiple tasks ongoing at the same time
