Are you ready to take on a new challenge as a CSA - Senior Civil Supervisor? Join our client's team and be a part of a major construction project for our client in the energy industry. As a Senior Civil Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of this project.
Role Overview
- Supervision and Coordination of Earthworks Operations: Oversee and coordinate all civil works activities, ensuring they are carried out according to work plans, technical specifications, and safety standards.
- Team Management: Assign tasks to field personnel, ensuring all workers understand their responsibilities and execute them efficiently.
- Quality Control and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the works are executed according to quality standards, engineering plans, and project specifications. Ensure compliance with local regulations, as well as applicable environmental and safety regulations.
- Planning and Progress Tracking: Participate in planning activities for civil subcontractors and ensure proper sequencing of operations.
- Resource and Material Management: Ensure the availability of necessary resources (materials, equipment, tools) to carry out the work without interruptions.
- Coordination with Other Departments and Contractors: Work closely with other departments and contractors involved in the project (engineering, safety, environment, etc.) to ensure that earthmoving activities do not interfere with other construction phases.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain a detailed record of daily activities, including incidents, inspections, progress, and other relevant aspects.
- Safety and Environmental Management: Ensure compliance with safety and environmental management plans specific to civil activities. Conduct regular inspections to identify risks and ensure the implementation of adequate preventive measures.
- On-Site Problem Solving: Identify and resolve technical or coordination issues that may arise during civil works. Make quick and effective decisions to mitigate impacts on the project timeline or work quality.
Skills & Qualifications
- Civil Experience: 15 years of experience in civil works, preferably in the energy industry.
- LNG Tanks Knowledge: Familiarity with LNG tanks construction and maintenance.
- Construction Coordination: Ability to coordinate multiple construction activities and ensure their timely completion.
- Construction Scope Management: Experience in managing construction scopes and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- LNG Knowledge: Understanding of LNG processes and regulations.
- Optional Requirement: Earthworks Operations: Experience in overseeing earthworks operations is a plus.
- Team Management: Proven ability to manage a team of field personnel and ensure their efficiency.
- Quality Control: Strong knowledge of quality control processes and procedures.
- Planning and Progress Tracking: Experience in planning and tracking project progress.
- Resource and Material Management: Ability to manage resources and materials efficiently to minimize waste and optimize costs.
- Coordination with Other Departments and Contractors: Excellent communication skills to facilitate coordination between different parties involved in the project.
- Documentation and Reporting: Strong record-keeping skills and ability to prepare periodic reports on project progress.
- Safety and Environmental Management: Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations in the construction industry.
- On-Site Problem Solving: Quick decision-making skills to resolve technical or coordination issues on-site.
Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in civil works or construction management are advantageous.
- Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in civil works, preferably in the energy industry.
