Our client is seeking Cyber Security Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to work within their Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Design Group. This role will be based in Southport NC and is a 1 – year contract opportunity.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Stay updated on evolving cyber processes and collaborate with site and fleet cyber organizations to ensure project designs maintain compliance.
  • Provide support for the development and implementation of the Cyber Security Program, including document preparation, reviews, and hands-on equipment support.
  • Assist in the design, installation, configuration, and testing of complex digital systems to ensure cyber compliance.
  • Develop and review Cyber Security Plans, perform assessments, and manage access control forms.
  • Perform CDA (Critical Digital Asset) walkdowns and updates to equipment databases.
  • Provide hands-on support for digital asset testing, vulnerability scanning, and configuration control.
  • Interact with other Digital Process Systems (DPS) SMEs to ensure coordination and compliance.
  • Assist in the implementation of security controls and continuous monitoring systems for cyber assets.
  • Assist with scanning and managing portable media and mobile devices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 10+ years of industry experience in cyber security or related fields.
  • Ability to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear facility, including necessary security clearances and training.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in a professional environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of cyber security principles and practices, particularly as they apply to critical digital assets and nuclear facilities.
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning tools, security information systems, and digital asset management.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and work collaboratively with stakeholders.
