We're looking for an Electrical Engineer II to work within their facilities located in Notrees, TX for a long-term assignment.

Job Overview:
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems within the facility. This role includes supporting the commissioning and start-up of the plant, monitoring equipment performance, conducting quality audits, and providing technical support to the production and maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, manage, and implement programs, methods, and systems for maintaining a safe work environment within the facility.
  • Support the commissioning and start-up of the industrial Direct Air Capture facility, including equipment QA/QC validation, acceptance of equipment and documentation, and troubleshooting during the start-up phase.
  • Monitor equipment performance, analyse data, and make recommendations to improve reliability and reduce operational costs.
  • Provide QAQC support, conducting inspections, performance quality audits, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Assist in identifying and resolving quality-related issues.
  • Prepare cost estimates and engineering proposals for routine equipment replacements or improvements to resolve maintenance issues or enhance processing equipment.
  • Provide technical support to the production and maintenance teams to evaluate and resolve maintenance problems across the facility.
  • Provide training to production, maintenance, and other departments on proper operation, troubleshooting, repair techniques, controls, and care of electrical equipment.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and equipment, evaluating their applicability for use in the plant.
  • Consult with contractors, maintenance personnel, and outside service groups on capital and maintenance projects.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Ensure the effective execution of preventive maintenance programs and compliance with corporate standards.
  • Establish and maintain testing and calibration procedures for electrical equipment as necessary.
  • Recommend, establish, and update spare parts requirements for existing and new equipment.
  • Prepare equipment specifications and purchase requests.
  • Develop inspection, testing, outage, and repair scopes for plant equipment.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for major equipment issues or recurring problems.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and operating permits.
  • Actively participate in Health, Environmental, Safety, and Security (HESS) programs to maintain a safe and environmentally sound workplace.
  • Promote safety by participating in safety meetings, offering safety recommendations, and encouraging safe practices among team members.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • 5+ years of Electrical Engineering experience in a Power Generation or Manufacturing environment required.
  • Strong ability to make technically and economically sound recommendations with incomplete information and within required timelines.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team and develop team members.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and respond to non-routine callouts.
  • Physical ability to lift 40 lbs, climb ladders and stairs, and perform tasks such as walking, bending, and stooping.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment, including a respirator, and respond to visual and audible alarms.
