Airswift is looking for a Fleet Coordinator to work on a permanent contract in Guyana with a large company specializing in engineering, procurement and construction solutions.
We are seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized Fleet Coordinator who will play a pivotal role in transforming our fleet management for our expanding fleet of heavy equipment (and vehicle) assets. This position involves working closely with our drivers, mechanics, and management to ensure that our fleet are functioning properly and meeting organizational needs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain an effective preventive maintenance program to maximize the lifespan of the equipment/fleet.
Manage inventory levels of spare parts and equipment used for repairs.
Coordinating equipment/vehicle reservations, usage, and maintenance requests.
Monitoring and tracking equipment/vehicle inventory to ensure adequate supply levels.
Manage driver schedules and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Communicating with drivers to ensure that they are aware of their schedules and responsibilities.
Schedule and dispatch drivers for deliveries and pick-ups.
Working with mechanics to coordinate equipment/vehicle repairs and maintenance.
Performing periodic equipment/vehicle inspections to ensure that they are in good working order.
Keep detailed records of vehicle maintenance and repair activities, as well as fuel consumption and other metrics along with maintaining a database of equipment/vehicle and driver/operator information.
Coordinating with management to develop and implement policies and procedures related to fleet management.
Monitoring and analyzing fleet data to identify opportunities for improvement.
Coordinating with management to develop and implement policies and procedures related to fleet management
Preparing reports related to fleet operations and presenting them to management.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Experience managing an equipment/fleet in a similar industry.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Familiarity with regulations related to vehicle maintenance and safety.
Proficiency in relevant software, including spreadsheet and database applications.
