Position Summary:
AIrswift is seeking an Instrumentation Technician Who is going to be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and optimization of instrument equipment in compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. This role ensures that all control systems and instrumentation are operating efficiently and safely, supporting operational excellence across various teams.
Key Responsibilities:

Compliance & Safety: Ensure all activities align with laws, regulations, and industry standards, with a strong focus on health, safety, and environmental considerations.

Team Collaboration: Foster teamwork between operations, engineering, and project teams to achieve common goals.

Control System Oversight: Review and provide input on control specifications and work practices; take responsibility for control systems as outlined in the Work Management Manual.

Permit Management: Apply and follow work permits via the Permit To Work System (PTWS) in line with company procedures.

Maintenance & Quality: Ensure the timely and quality completion of work as per the Maintenance Program and ensure it meets performance standards.

Skills Development: Continuously enhance personal and team technical skills, keeping up-to-date with new technologies, regulations, and methods.

Training & Instruction: Lead or participate in technical meetings and training sessions to keep the team informed of updates on codes, procedures, and technology.

Communication: Maintain open lines of communication regarding control system issues, including safe work practices, training, and materials.

Work Prioritization: Support the prioritization of work to maximize efficiency and complement other work groups’ efforts.

Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to other technicians for maintenance and troubleshooting of instrument systems.

Change Management: Generate and manage Management of Change (MOC) requests, ensuring proper installation inspections in accordance with Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS) Element 3.

New Installations & Upgrades: Monitor and inspect new installations for alignment with operational goals, recommending upgrades as needed.

Lead Coverage: Step in for the Instrument Lead position when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent, preferably with additional technical school courses.

Experience: Proven experience in maintaining instruments and controls within a processing or offshore production plant environment.

Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant regulations for oil and gas operations; expertise in OIMS systems, related manuals, and procedures.

Certifications & Training: Completion of safety, administrative, and technical training as per company-approved training roadmap.

Computing Skills: Proficient in relevant computer applications.
