We are currently recruiting for a Process Piping Lead to be placed in Oman and would be on a 18-month contract with the possibility of extension. The main function is to assist and support the Commissioning Site Head in supervising the Brownfield EPCIC Contractors activities linked to the Commissioning of New Riser Platform, 1x New Jacket and 1x New Bridge link to existing platforms, in both preparation and execution phases.
Responsibilities
EPCIC Pre-Commissioning/Commissioning Engineer Phase
- Ensure proper implementation of all pre-commissioning / commissioning disciplines requirement according to the CONTRACT.
- Review the preparation of pre-commissioning/commissioning procedures (write the procedure, if necessary, in order to respect the planning and achieve the milestones in due time) and reporting tools prepared by contractors (such as but not limited to: including technical database, planning, punch lists control and follow-up of the disciplines concerned)
- Promote safety within the commissioning activities and verifies that safety procedures are implemented and follow by CONTRACTOR and COMPANY.
- Review LT engineering preparation done by the Subcontractor FM/LT
- Coordinate with other project entities / disciplines /existing facilities.
- Ensure that the lists of pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures are fully comprehensive, including operational test procedures.
- Ensure that the Process-Piping pre-commissioning and commissioning spare parts, consumables equipment, special tools, etc are sufficient and available in time.
EPCIC Commissioning Execution Phase (Onshore + Offshore)
- Follow the contractor ’s Process-Piping commissioning activities using the OPERCOM® Methodology and ICAPS© (Integrated Commissioning And Progress System) software.
- Follow the execution of Process-Piping commissioning activities to achieve commissioning schedule completion target.
- Supervise the reporting of commissioning execution to ensure that all technical, contractual information are properly recorded, collected and available for inspection/reference as required by law regulations and COMPANY policies.
- Control and follow-up on red line mark-up drawings.
- Follow the N2/He leak test
- Control and follow-up on VENDORS commissioning scope of work activities such as: SAT, OTPs, documents update, Closing of Punch list, reporting.
Context and Environment
- One Riser Platform which will be bridge linked to existing Platform and shall accommodate all risers and J tubes from Nine WHPs.
- Early production phase from 4-5 wellhead platforms via Riser Platform into the existing facilities
- Interface with SURF package about Intra-field subsea pipelines and intra-field cables (subsea power / ICSS fiber optic).
- Brownfield environment designed on a different basis, minimum coherence to ensure smooth future operations.
- EPCIC onshore execution shall take place at Contractor premises.
- Possibility of multiple worldwide missions for Factory Acceptance Tests follow up.
Skills / Qualifications
- Qualification: Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree or equivalent in engineering,
- Experience: At least 15-20 years’ experience in the offshore oil & gas industry with minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Proven track record of leadership and problem resolution.
- Available for technical missions worldwide,
- Experienced with Total General Specifications, OPERCOM and ICAPS, PRODOM and relevant codes and standards,
- H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET trainings.
