We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising, planning, coordinating, and executing construction residential projects in the Owner’s team from conception through completion. You will act as a liaison between the Owner’s team, designers’ teams, contractors, and different official bodies to ensure project goals, timelines, and budgets are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise design works, the execution of construction projects from start to finish.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, timelines, and resource plans.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, designers, contractors, and Owner’s stakeholders.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project time schedules, covering all phases including design activities, permitting, procurement, supply, delivery, construction, and commissioning. Ensure schedules reflect key milestones and are regularly updated to align with project progress and changes.
- Monitor project progress and prepare regular status reports
- Ensure compliance with Swedish residential housing standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Support Owner’s procurement activities by providing technical specifications and reviewing vendor and contractor submissions.
- Solve technical problems and provide engineering solutions during all project phases.
- Maintain project documentation including drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Lead site meetings as the Owner's representative. Prepares minutes of meetings
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure work is being completed to design and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
- 2–5 years of experience in project engineering or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and tools.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, or other relevant software.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience in using Swedish construction industry contract standards AB 05 and ABT 06.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Experience in value engineering work
- PMP certification is a plus (but not required).
- Swedish and English language skills
