Are you ready to take on the role of QA/QC Engineer for a major Paper Mill extension project in Chester, United Kingdom? As a key member of our client's team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of MEP systems, while working on a full-time contract for 10 months.
 
Role Overview
  • Develop, implement, and monitor QA/QC procedures for MEP systems, including Mechanical and Electrical Systems.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks on MEP installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Review and verify MEP shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
  • Perform site audits and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) if quality deviations are found.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Implement and maintain inspection and testing plans (ITP) for all MEP installations.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all QA/QC records, test reports, and approvals.
  • Assist in commissioning and handover procedures, ensuring system functionality and compliance.
  • Work closely with project teams to resolve quality-related issues and ensure corrective actions are taken.
  • Ensure adherence to UK (England and Wales) MEP regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
 
Skills & Qualifications
  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or MEP Engineering.
  • Proven experience in QA/QC for MEP systems in large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP quality standards, inspection processes, and testing procedures.
  • Familiarity with UK (England and Wales) regulations, codes, and industry best practices.
  • Experience in NCR management, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Ability to review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
  • Valid work permit to work in the UK (England and Wales).
 
Education & Experience
  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or MEP Engineering.
  • Proven experience in QA/QC for MEP systems in large-scale construction projects.
