Are you ready to take on the role of QA/QC Engineer for a major Paper Mill extension project in Chester, United Kingdom? As a key member of our client's team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of MEP systems, while working on a full-time contract for 10 months.
Role Overview
- Develop, implement, and monitor QA/QC procedures for MEP systems, including Mechanical and Electrical Systems.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks on MEP installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Review and verify MEP shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
- Perform site audits and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) if quality deviations are found.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement and maintain inspection and testing plans (ITP) for all MEP installations.
- Ensure proper documentation of all QA/QC records, test reports, and approvals.
- Assist in commissioning and handover procedures, ensuring system functionality and compliance.
- Work closely with project teams to resolve quality-related issues and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Ensure adherence to UK (England and Wales) MEP regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
Skills & Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or MEP Engineering.
- Proven experience in QA/QC for MEP systems in large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of MEP quality standards, inspection processes, and testing procedures.
- Familiarity with UK (England and Wales) regulations, codes, and industry best practices.
- Experience in NCR management, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Ability to review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality documents.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
- Valid work permit to work in the UK (England and Wales).
Education & Experience
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or MEP Engineering.
- Proven experience in QA/QC for MEP systems in large-scale construction projects.
