Elevate Your Career in Senior Contracts Advisor with Airswift

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Contracts Advisor to join our team for a 12-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a new carbon capture project in UK, deploying Contract Management activities. The role will be based in Surrey office until September, before moving to site at North Wales.

Role Overview

  • Review and draft various types of contracts, including engineering, procurement, construction, and service contracts.
  • Manage workload in coordination with Tendering/Commercial, Project Management and Procurement functions, collecting information from other departments to gather necessary inputs.
  • Prepare contract summaries and advise management on potential risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in meetings and negotiate with clients, partners, and subcontractors.
  • Negotiate contracts in the best interest of the company and in accordance with risk policies.
  • Support project management teams in claims and contract management strategies.
  • Aid in the resolution of legal and contractual matters.
  • Regularly report on contract management activities to company and corporate management.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Law or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience of English Contract Law, including strong knowledge of industry standard contracts (FIDIC, LOGIC, BIMCO, IOCs, etc).
  • Proven experience on reviewing and advising on tendering contracts and of adminstering project contracts.
  • Familiarity with carbon capture technology.
  • Experience with negotiating and executing oil & gas construction contracts.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
