Position: Senior Environmental Advisor
Company: Tier 1 EPCM in Mining
Location: 2:1 FIFO ext. Perth 
Employment Type: Casual Contractor
Contract length: Initial 12 months with possibility of extension


Role Overview

Our client, a leading global EPCM, is looking for mid to senior-level Environmental Advisors to join one of their largest site teams to date on a 2:1 FIFO roster ext. Perth. As a Site Environmental Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting major development projects, offering guidance on environmental approvals, and developing and maintaining compliance programs throughout the project’s execution.

As a key member of the team, you will:

  • Implementing the project CEMP and EMS
  • Training site teams and contractors (inductions, land disturbance, and biodiversity identification)
  • Relocating fauna after completing fauna handling training
  • Conducting pre-clearing fauna surveys after completing fauna surveyor training
  • Assisting with the execution of the Land Disturbance Procedure
  • Compliance reporting, including NGERS, waste, monitoring, and Part IV licence reports
  • Monitoring dust, noise, vibration, and vegetation
  • Advising contractors and project management teams
  • Conducting inspections and audits
  • Implementing Heritage Protection Plans in collaboration with Traditional Owners

 

What you’ll have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or related fields, with experience in environmental approvals.
  • Strong understanding of Commonwealth and State/Territory (preferably WA or NSW) environmental approvals compliance.
  • Significant experience in a similar role within the natural resources industry.
  • Proficient in GIS softwaredata managementEMS reporting, and data interpretation.
  • Solid understanding of environmental and social risks in natural resources projects.
  • Strong at building relationships, collaboration, and negotiation.
  • Unrestricted driver’s license and valid Australian working rights.

 

Extra info:

  • Opportunities exist to conduct EMT training. 
  • All personnel are provided with 4WD training and fauna handling training prior to mobilisation.
