Our client is seeking for multiple Senior IT Network Engineers to work within their facilities in Perth WA.
The Company
Our client is a well-known consultancy with multiple offices across the globe. As a result of ongoing business growth, they are looking for an experienced individuals to join their business to work on their latest major project.
The Role
Working alongside client's Engineer and Architects, you will be working with a team to work on a network refresh project for a reputable client.
Responsibilities
From a technical perspective you will have experience in;
- Lead the design, planning, and implementation of a comprehensive network refresh project tailored for the resource industry.
- Evaluate the existing network infrastructure, identify weaknesses, and propose innovative solutions to optimize performance and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new network components with existing systems.
- Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls) as part of the refresh initiative.
- Develop detailed documentation outlining network configurations, changes, and procedures for future reference.
- Conduct thorough testing of the new network setup to identify and resolve potential issues before full implementation.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot problems, and implement necessary adjustments to ensure optimal functionality.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers involved in the project.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance the network infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Proven experience as a Senior Network Engineer in large-scale network refresh projects within the resource industry.
- Proficiency in network protocols, routing and switching technologies, and network security.
- Strong expertise in configuring and troubleshooting network devices from leading vendors.
- Solid understanding of virtualization, cloud technologies, and software-defined networking (SDN).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Juniper Networks Certified Professional (JNCIP) are highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
