Responsibilities
- Coordination of all shop Expediting & Inspection activities in support to the Lead shop coordinator
- Manage the interfaces with Project, as single point of accountability for the relevant Purchase Order, leading the review and resolution of any pending that can have an impact on the PO execution by the Supplier
- Define the expediting and inspection levels according to the Criticality Analysis provided by the Project
- Prepare and issue assignment requests for Shop Expeditors and Inspectors with Resource Management support
- Checking if vendor production schedule is properly issued in due time and cover all Vendor activities (engineering with drawings submission dates, sub-orders and related workshop delivery, manufacturing and assembly, testing, and delivery activities)
- Organize and attend Hand Over Meeting (physically or remotely) with Vendor and led by Inspector at Workshop
- Prepare required reports by the Project
- Attend Expediting/Inspection recurrent meetings (e.g. Post-Order, with Vendors and Project Management Team…)
- Analyze and comment Supplier’s Monthly Progress Reports and Shop Expediting Reports before distributing them to the Project
- Highlight any potential critical paths/events that might cause a shifting of delivery date, performing every necessary check to ascertain the severity of such risk (i.e checking with Delivery Manager & Construction ROS dates priorities)
Requirements
- Relevant (Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation/Engineering…) Bachelor's Degree as a minimum or Business/Management schools
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Inspection, Quality, Engineering , Manufacturing, Supplier Development, Supplier Quality and/or Project Management.
- Have demonstrated leadership and project management skills in his specialty (PVHE, Package, Piping/Valves, E&I, Long Lead Items (LLI)…)
- Experience with Material Management Systems (e.g. Smart Material - Intergraph)
- Professional level of spoken and written English
- Good collaboration skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to reach deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Problem solving skills related to functional area and understanding impact on overall business
- Good presentation and communication skills at all organizational levels
