Our client is seeking a CAD Technician to work in Muscatine, IA, for an initial 12-month assignment, likely to extend!

Looking for a skilled CAD Design Technician to join the Project Engineering team at their site. This contingent, non-production role involves using advanced design software to create both 2D and 3D models for project components, aiding engineers in project visualization, cost estimation, and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Create detailed 2D surface models and 3D solid models for a variety of engineering projects.
  • Utilize surface modeling for flat representations and solid modeling for 3D displays, allowing engineers to inspect and interact with designs virtually.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers to work on specific project parts, following precise specifications and ensuring design accuracy.
  • Prepare cost estimates for project proposals based on design specifications.
  • Develop comprehensive assembly instructions, maintenance manuals, and documentation to support installation, service, and repair teams.

Qualifications:

Job purpose:
  • Responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, reviewing, and reporting the project schedule performance of NFS Onshore Project.  This includes preparing the progress measurement system, monitoring, verification and reporting.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business-related subject.

Experience:
 
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in planning and scheduling in a major project environment within the oil and gas industry.
  • Experience of working with National Oil Companies or International Oil Companies / major EPC Contractor will be an advantage.

Key accountabilities:
 
  • Performs project planning, scheduling, and progress measurement.
  • Reviews Contractor’s planning and scheduling procedures to ensure that Company’s requirements are met.
  • Reviews project changes to evaluate detail schedule impact; responsible for quantifying and incorporating the effect and impact of approved changes in the overall schedule for stewardship purposes.

  • Reviews and checks Contractor’s progress reports for accuracy of progress measurement.  Verifies, reviews and endorses claimed progress reported by Contractor.
  • Reviews and endorses schedule and progress Baselines and forecasts prepared by Contractor.
  • Analyzes schedule and progress trends reported by Contractor.
  • Supports PMT with ongoing project schedule and progress analysis, reporting and forecasting activities. Periodically updates Project Onshore Level 1 schedule to incorporate schedule updates from Contractor.
  • Develops and maintains overall schedule and ensures that it reflects the approved execution scope. Periodically monitors interfaces with other projects and liaises with project teams to mitigate any adverse trends.
  • Responds to ad hoc requests from PMT related to Scheduling and Reporting, including development of progress metrics, and/or key performance indicators.
  • Ensures PMT and Contractor are working towards the correct priorities and schedules have clear Critical Path and Sub Critical Paths to allow for timely completion of the work.
  • Reviews productivity frequently to ensure Contractor can achieve the plan and advises when slippages are seen in Productivity Factor (PF) or Schedule Performance Index (SPI).

Qualifications:

Experience:

Key accountabilities:
 
  • Logs and checks documents received by transmittal from the Contractor's Document Controller for correctness and completeness to ensure alignment and understanding by all involved.
  • Records the "due Date"(if reply is required), applies distribution in accordance with the Project's Document Distribution Matrix DDM) and distributes documents to meet Company expectations at final handover and project close-out.

  • Up to date knowledge on industry pipeline installation and repair techniques; welding, NDT, FJC and etc
  • Knowledge in ROV operation for pipelay and subsea construction,

Job purpose:
  • Ensures effective implementation of the Company Project Management Systems through managing the implementation of the Project Quality Plan, Quality Processes to achieve the Project Quality Objectives.
  • To successfully manage the Pipelines QA/QC Team to achieve Project Quality Requirements and Project Quality Objectives in line with Company Project Management Systems.
  • Assures through Quality monitoring and measurement the implementation of Company Project Management Systems & EPCI Contract Quality Requirements, Leading Quality Audit Programs, Quality Surveillance and Quality Self-Assessments.

Qualifications:

  • In addition, preferred Diploma in Quality Assurance from a recognized Quality Institute or equivalent and/or IRCA ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Accreditation & Valid ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certificate and/or CSWIP Senior Welding Inspector with ISO 9712 NDE Qualifications.

Experience:
 
  • Demonstrated a minimum of 10 years of experience in the Role of Quality Management of offshore Oil and Gas Pipeline facilities.
  • Shall have a proven track record or deliverance in challenging project environments in a Project Quality Heads role.
  • Demonstratable, successful quality completions of International Offshore Pipeline Projects from FEED to Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, and Handover activities.
  • Experience in the development and delivery of External & Internal Audit Programs along with Quality Surveillance Programs.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all organizational levels.
  • Sound technical, management, supervisory and interpersonal skills.


Key accountabilities:
 
  • Implements the Project Quality Management System and Project Quality Plan providing quality planning input for the Quality Assurance Area Manager in the Process. To provide continuous support, coordination, advice and Daily/Weekly Reporting to the North Field Expansion Offshore Project Quality Assurance Area Manager on quality issues concerning PMT discipline execution and the oversight of Contractors/Suppliers.
  • Responsible to manage the Pipelines QA/QC Team daily to assure achievement of Project Quality Objectives through the Project Quality Plan, Surveillance Programs and ITP’s.
  • To Develop, Implement External and Internal Project Audit Programs and to ensure implementation of the Project Quality Audit, Surveillance, SDR, NCR, Deficiency and other Project QA/QC Processes, Tools, Reports and Deliverables in line with the company system.
  • Coordinating the quality management activities of Pipelines QA/QC team and maintaining interfaces between PMT’s and EPCI QA/QC Team to ensure a consistent, effective Quality approach across the Project; monitors Contractor’s quality performance, provides, and distributes surveillance metrics as described in the QMS Control Procedures.
  • Ensures the implementation of project-specific quality training and orientation; provides direction to the Pipelines Project QA/QC Team in their daily Roles and Tasks.
  • Prepares and manages the PMT Audit Schedule and stewards audit findings to resolution and closure.; reviewing and commenting on Contractor's schedule(s) for internal and external technical and quality audits, and the plans for each audit; ensuring PMT reviews and, as required, approves quality deliverables of Contractor and suppliers (e.g., plans, Criticality Ratings, Inspection and Test Plans).
  • Monitors and Reports Quality KPIs to measure and improve Quality Performance. Prepares and gains QA Assurance Mangers approval of Weekly and Monthly Quality Reports. 
  • Ensure that the Pipelines Contractor’s engineering and designs comply with the Contract requirements including codes and standards. Provide guidance to the contractor to promote compliance; verify compliance with the Contract and fitness for purpose of the delivered Phases of Pipeline Design, Construction, Installation and Completions.

Responsibilities:
  • Accessing remote locations to check wells, maintain normal operating levels, pressures and flow on separation equipment, adjusting automatic and manual controls.
  • Inspecting gas and oil wells, tanks, meters, separators, compressors, and attached piping components for leaks or unusual conditions and taking corrective actions.
  • Gauging tanks for sale or transfer of crude oil and water.
  • Operating and troubleshooting rental compressors, flowing gas wells, gas lift wells, testing wells and operation of sand traps and flow back equipment.

The Role

Working alongside client's Engineer and Architects, you will be working with a team to work on a major project for a client. Responsibilities

From a technical perspective you will have experience in;

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in control systems engineering, ideally in a relevant industry.
  • Proficiency in PLC, SCADA, HMI, and/or DCS programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Wonderware).
  • Experience working within mining and minerals processing.
  • Familiarity with process control communications protocols including EtherNet/IP, Modbus, OPC, ProfNet.
  • Experience in control system design and documentation.
  • Competency with PLC software development such as ladder logic and Function Block Diagram, preferably RS Logix & Unity.
  • Familiarity with electrical LV design, drawings and related electrical documentation.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation, process control, and automation technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with specific industry standards and regulations, such as IEC, ANSI, or ISA.
  • Knowledge of advanced control methodologies (PID, adaptive control, model predictive control).
  • Certification in control systems or automation (e.g., ISA Certified Control Systems Technician).

  • Demonstrated ability to ensure all Control Systems engineering project activities comply with statutory and regulatory standards, as well as company policies and best practices.
  • Proficiency in PLC platforms, particularly Schneider PLCs.
  • Skilled in SCADA/HMI platforms, especially Citect SCADA.
  • Knowledgeable in process control communication protocols such as Ethernet IP, DNP3, Modbus, OPC, and Profinet.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, testing and validation documentation, commissioning records, and change management documentation.
  • Proficient in PLC programming, including ladder logic and function block diagrams (FBD).
  • Experienced in drive interface design, including Variable Speed Drives (VSD), E/DOL, and Soft Starters.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose issues with control systems and industrial communication networks.

We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source for Head of SHES Excellence on residential status to be based at site (Ras Laffan Industrial City). This role has key responsibilities to input into all aspects of the Onshore EPC-1 SHES management activities and scope of work (SOW) and supports the EPC-1 onshore SHES Division Manager in all their responsibilities. Provide review, comment and approvals of the procedures and specifications prepared by the CONTRACTOR. Ensures that suitable COMPANY oversight is provided for CONTRACTORS, SUBCONTRACTORS and Vendors to implement and sustain the NFE Onshore SHES requirements. Provides support to the PMT SHES personnel to identify solutions for SHES issues in support of line management, who have overall SHES responsibility for achieving SHES objectives.

This is a contract role with initial duration of 36 months working on a residential basis with 6-days per week / 10 hours per day. Please see details below:

Key Accountabilities
  • Reports to the SHES EPC-1 Division Manager.
  • Identifies, develops and implements opportunities to improve the EPC-1 package Safety, Health, Environment and Security (SHES) performance.
  • Provides strategic advice and support to the NFXP Onshore SHES Division Manager EPC1 in the management of the departments day to day activities to manage and improve the packages’ SHES performance and outcomes.
  • Collaborates with the Departments investigation team to identify gaps and develop SHES improvements with the implementation of corrective actions and work practices.
  • Is the main focal point for liaison and interaction with the SHES Shared Resources department (including systems, auditing, security, welfare and environment) to provide data and information and implement Project planned SHES improvements into the EPC-1 pacakge.
  • Assit with SHES documentation review, systems support and analysis, welfare management. Represent the department at meetings and reviews.
  • Review, comment on and advise for approval or rejection of CONTRACTOR’S change processes and method statements (MS) and Job safety analysis (JSA) in relation to any proposed contract SHES concessions with construction activities. Attend risk assessments associated with any proposed methodology changes.
  • Provide shift relief to the SHES Division Manager EPC1 during the heat stress season and acts as their delegation of authority (DOA) when they are on leave etc.
  • Provide expert SHES advice and guidance to the SHES PMT team and CONTRACTOR Project Area Division Managers and disciplines during all phases of the Project, to achieve the Company mission to protect its people, assets and environment.
  • Manage all aspects of the COMPANY’s Project SHES management system, its procedures and programs. Ensure the effective and efficient implementation of Company  associated procedures and programs, and manages the project’s continual improvement initiatives.
  • Monitors the EPC-1 CONTRACTORS compliance with contractual requirements in accordance with the requirements stipulated in the SHES Instructions Part 1 to 5 (Contract Exhibit 5).
  • Monitor and report on the departments SHES performance, reviews key performance indicators and develop improvement action plans where required.



Qualifications:
  • HSE related NVQ Level 6, NEBOSH National/International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, or higher (BSc, PgCert, PgDip, MSc).
  • OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 Lead Auditor.
  • TapRoot® Advanced Root Cause Analysis Team Leader (or equivalent RCA tool)
  • 12 years relevant construction industry SHES experience, with strong focus on management systems implementation, health and safety assurance, auditing, and continual improvement.
  • International project experience with Tier-1 EPC Contractors or Client, involved in the construction of onshore production facilities (i.e. greenfield and brownfield work).
  • Sound knowledge of the project execution process in large-scale project environments (expenditure >US$ 1 Bn).
