  • Oversee the development and execution of diverse projects focused on non-nuclear, carbon-free generation, energy storage, and geothermal initiatives.
  • Provide innovative resource solutions tailored to public power utilities, steering project plans from initial feasibility studies through to construction completion.
  • Projects range widely in scope, with development and construction budgets spanning from a few million dollars for smaller renewable initiatives to several hundred million for substantial conventional projects.
  • Project Management for all phases of development for new applied technology and power management projects, including identifying needs and opportunities; preparation of proposals and term sheets; formation and leadership of project teams; hiring and managing of outside technical and environmental consultants; preparation of project development and business plans, strategic plans and budgets, including project pro-formas; identification and development of project sites; obtainment of management, board and regulatory approvals; management of the procurement of major equipment and construction services; arrangement of project financing; coordination with Operations and Maintenance (O&M)/Professional Services for operating cost projections and project transition plans and checklists; and arranging for construction management services.
  • Negotiate term sheets, PPA’s and other development agreements with business sector manager support.
  • Provide direction and oversight of administrative and technical support assigned to projects.
  • Develop and maintain industry liaisons and current expertise for assigned power supply technologies, including attendance and/or participation on industry committees and forums, review of technical journals and periodicals and completion of selected training classes and seminars.
  • Perform financial modeling of investments and assess how they fit within the context of current and future company plans and customer needs.
  • Interface with various experts, suppliers, and customers, to refine analyses.
  • Stay abreast of current technologies and market participants in the power generation sector. Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge and database of technology pricing, trends, and risks. In addition, maintain active summary of developers in the new generation market along with status of applications for new projects in the interconnection queues.
  • Assist and coordinate as necessary due diligence activities associated with the addition of generation resources, including coordination with internal and external subject matter experts, tracking, and documenting due diligence materials, and providing summary reports as requested to management.
  • Gather information and model customer preferences to assist in the development of new products and services.
  • Develop presentations, reports, and other internal and external communication tools to convey the detailed aspects of our plans to audiences across a wide range of backgrounds.
  • Support the regulatory approval process as needed.
     
Requirements (This may vary due to level):
  • LEVEL 1 - A bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university and 5 years of experience providing in-depth assistance with program or project management.
    OR
    An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university and 7 years of experience providing in-depth assistance with program or project management.

On behalf of our customers, we are currently recruiting for a Coating Engineer to be placed in Schiedam and would be on a 12 months’ contract with the possibility of extension.
 
Responsibilities 
  • Engineer protection of equipment / assets by means of coating, insulation, fireproofing in line with Group, Client and Project requirements, from coating systems selection to application and testing. This may involve issuing of engineering specification, application procedures, technical notes, testing plans.
  • Support package engineers, supply chain, inspection team on all coating, lining, insulation and fire proofing scopes.
  • Assist other disciplines (piping, mechanical, structural, process, etc) with specific input on any coating, lining, insulation and fire proofing matters.
  • Support construction teams (shipyards and fabrication yards) on all coating, lining, insulation, personnel protection, fire proofing scopes.
  • Capture lesson learnt (improvements and opportunities) along the course of the project and submit to DLE on the project.
  • Ensure deliverables issued by equipment suppliers, manufacturers comply with the company’s specifications and international rules, codes, standards referenced therein.
  • Seek constant alignment with material selection, corrosion, cathodic protection colleagues so that MCP strategy is coherent overall and there are no discrepancies / gaps in the approach.

Main tasks
 
  • Reviews the materials deliverables related to coating and lining produced by bulk material/ equipment Suppliers and Subcontractors, e.g. coating procedures, quality plans and inspection test plans.
  • Ensures quality and compliance of coating and lining systems in equipment packages and adherence to applicable project specifications.
  • Complies with the Group Technical Standards and GEMS processes, raises comments and deviations when necessary.
  • Interfaces with Subcontractors and Yard for resolution of coating and lining issues, as required.
    Provides technical advice and support on coating manufacture, application, and inspection matters, as required.
  • Suggests suitable actions to prevent, adsorb or minimize any deviations in terms of time and costs.

Skills / Qualifications 
 
  • Work experience 3 years minimum in corrosion protection by coatings and linings in one of the following related industries: Shipbuilding, Chemical, petrochemical or pharmaceutical process plant, offshore process facilities (e.g. platforms).
  • Knowledge of international standards on the specification, application and inspection of coatings and linings.
  • Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering, materials engineering or equivalent.
  • Office presence few days per week on a weekly base is required.

Airswift is looking for a I/C/E Lead Engineer to work for a major LNG Project in Houston, TX, for an initial 2-year assignment likely to be extended.

Project will design, build, and commission a new 1.1 mile lateral pipeline, aerial pipe bridge, metering station, and interconnect facilities to enable the delivery of third party gas to a new Gulf Coast LNG facility now in construction.  The project is currently moving into the FEED/EPC phase with startup scheduled for 3Q27.  Successful candidate will join the Owner’s Project Management Team and function as the Owner’s Instrument / Controls / Electrical Engineering representative during design, fabrication, construction and commissioning.  Work location will be at a Houston based EPC, with frequent trips to the site in Sabine Pass, TX. and to the Owner’s offices in Houston and Beaumont, Tx.

Job Summary:

Act as Owner’s Engineer in the management of engineering, design and all Instrument / Controls / Electrical related technical aspects for a new natural gas pipeline. Provide technical leadership and to all operational, regulatory and project driven activities including gas pipeline design and construction.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide Instrumentation / Controls / Electrical Engineering Leadership as Owner’s Engineer for new natural gas pipeline project.  Support the development and execution of Instrumentation / Controls / Electrical activities including one-line diagrams, inter-connect agreements, control architecture, gas metering skid design, DCS interface, cable routing, control logic, material procurement, etc.  The successful candidate is not expected to be a Specialist in all aspects of I/C/E field, but rather have sufficient technical depth, breadth of experience, motivation, and communication skills to work with Contractors and Owner’s Operations Engineers to resolve issues and maintain project progress.

•          Participate in development and review of all Instrumentation / Control / Electrical design deliverables, preparing and evaluating bid packages, and interacting with engineering, operation and fabrication disciplines

•          Provides technical support to all aspects of the project and acts as the primary point of contact with the engineering contractors for Instrumentation / Controls / Electrical related activities

•          Perform complex technical and administrative tasks relative to the Design and coordination of Instrumentation / Controls / Electrical packages.

•          Provide technical input and review of the design, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning and startup of facilities.

Qualifications & Experience:

The role

The health and Safety Lead is responsible for ensuring the highest safety standards on the construction site. This role involves implementing health and safety policies, conducting risk assessments, training site personnel, and monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements. 

  • Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific health and safety programs in alignment with company standards and regulations. 
  • Conduct risk assessments, and hazard analyses, and implement preventive measures to minimize risks on site.

  • Implement, audit and conduct safety compliance programs to identify and address concerns.

  • Description:
    • Primary Purpose

      Working primarily independently under limited supervision, performs advanced and highly complex administrative/clerical functions including: word processing or typing letters, memoranda and forms, produces presentation materials, keeps track of budgets, produces department reports, orders supplies, maintains files, answers telephones, schedules appointments/ conferences, makes travel arrangements, receives visitors, and sorts/distributes mail.

      Duties and Responsibilities

      • May process time sheets, payroll, cashiering, budget, expense accounts and other financial records, coordinates with other departments as required, makes travel arrangements, schedules appointments, etc.
      • Uses business applications software and peripheral equipment (e.g., complex databases, advanced presentation graphics, detailed spreadsheets using original formulas, operates fax machines, copy machines, etc.).
      • Plans or schedules own work; coordinates and/or takes lead responsibility on special projects requiring advanced skills; may provide work direction for clerical group; may review work of others; may train others.
      • Composes correspondence and reports for supervisor’s signature; researches, abstracts and compiles information and data for analyses; reviews written material for accuracy and completeness; checks calculations for accuracy; reconciles report data; maintains complex accounting ledgers, petty cash funds, inventory, etc.
      • Implements established safety procedures.
      • Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).

      Education

      • H.S. Diploma/GED required. College courses/vocational training desired. Technical/vocational college courses/training desired.

      Experience

      • 3+ years of related experience required.

      Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

      • Must be able to operate a computer and peripheral equipment for word processing. Demonstrated knowledge of business application software including spreadsheets, presentations, databases, and word processing.
      • Must possess intermediate math skills and be able to operate a calculator.
      • Excellent oral and written communications skills required.
      • Proficiency in computer software applications.
      • Ability to handle multiple activities/projects and their deadlines.

Our major client is seeking a Project Cost Controller / Project Controls Specialist to work within their facilities located in Pasadena, TX for a 12-month assignment (subject to extension).

The Project Cost Controller reports to the Manager of Project Controls and serves as subject matter expert assigned as project controls representative to projects.  The responsibilities of the project cost controller are to assist the Project Managers and Construction Coordinators in controlling, monitoring overall project cost, and schedule performance as it relates to the approved scope baseline.  A cost controller also monitors actual construction progress versus baseline, schedule and cost performance and reporting on overall project forecasts. 

Specific duties of the Project Cost Controller may include:

  • Overall project reporting
  • Preparing project cost and schedule forecasts (may rely on separate schedule analyst for schedule portion)
  • Formulating project completion forecasts and trend analysis
  • Interfacing with project managers, project scheduler, and contractors to maintain cost projections
  • Earned Value Management analysis of project performance
  • Reviewing and appraising all requests for changes on contracts (Change Orders)
  • Monitoring contractor staffing and equipment expenditures on contracts
  • Monitoring installed quantities
  • Analyzing contractor claims for additional costs
  • Reviewing contractor invoices
  • Generating and monitoring project tracking metrics

Our client is seeking a Measurement Technician to work within their facilities located in Baker, Montana on an initially 1-year assignment (with the possibility of extension).

Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and calibrate measurement equipment.
  • Install and maintain radio equipment and ensure communication uplink.
  • Must be able to participate and understand the following: orifice/ultrasonic/turbine/Coriolis measurement, AGA Measurement Standards, Fisher ROC/ABB configurations, radio communications, and hydrocarbon sampling for analysis.
  • Commitment to or safety culture and environmental standards.

Requirements:
  • Must be able to demonstrate the aptitude to perform and or participate in the following: Set process controls in both the field and processing plants; Maintain, calibrate and perform testing and preventative maintenance on said equipment; Install, test, troubleshoot and run diagnostic tests on RTU equipment; Test calibration and troubleshoot transmitters on communication equipment; Install/test flow transmitters in the field; Test and check moisture content, gravity and CO2 of gas.
  • Candidate preferred to have experience installing and maintaining Fisher ROC’s and ABB gas measurement equipment and WinCCU software.
  • Previous experience in a closely related position and/or industry experience.
  • College degree required. Comparable experience is acceptable.

Work Schedule: 5/40 – Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.

Project: biopharmaceutical expansion project

We have an opportunity for a Black Piping SME to support our Dunkerque site expansion project. The successful candidate(s) will be engaged on an initial 1 year renewable contract, with the option to extend; and the role would be based on-site at our manufacturing facility in Dunkerque, France.

The objective of the mission is to deliver the black piping design of the Logistics and Warehouse project (two logistic buildings and one high bay automated warehouse) during detailed design, execution studies, and commissioning.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Complete the detailed design developed by the appointed design company
  • Complete the execution design developed by the construction company
  • Ensure that the design is in compliance with engineering, safety and work standards and Associated procedures, to ensure the assets meet business needs and satisfy external regulators
  • Verify and approve the design specification and documentation provided by the contractors (VISA code)
  • Collect and review all the Client comments relevant to this discipline
  • Lead the review meeting with the appointed third parties (i.e. Socotec, Cyrus, etc.)
  • Send the documentation commented to the relevant counterpart (i.e. document controller) in the expected time frame
  • Active participation of Mechanical Completion walkdown and follow up on closure of punch items recorded
  • Preparation of A1 (Mechanical Completion) and A2 (Commissioning Completion) Certificates according to GERE standards
  • Discuss any PCNs presented by the design and construction companies and submit the accepted ones to the project manager for final approval

Role Requirements
  • More than 10 years’ experience with Black piping
  • Involved in international projects
  • Minimum 3-day a week presence on site in Dunkirk
  • Leadership and problem solving required
