Airswift expands Malaysian operations with new office to deliver additional seamless client support across three federal territories

Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, 16 March 2018: Airswift, the global workforce solutions provider for the energy, process and infrastructure sectors, has expanded operations with a new office in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. The site – which complements Airswift’s Kuala Lumpur office – will enable the company to meet growing demand from the infrastructure and oil and gas sectors while offering clients continuous mobility support across all three federal territories.

The new office means Airswift can alleviate any issues with mobilising staff between Malaysia’s different states, offering clients a seamless and efficient option for personnel operations. Located in the Suria Sabah Business Centre – in the heart of Kota Kinabalu's commercial and financial district – the 100m2 office will house a team of service consultants and business development personnel.

The office will focus on supporting candidates on assignment while working on the mounting local workforce needs created by the Sabah Economic Development and Investment Authority’s flagship projects including the Pan Borneo highway, Kilmanis Power Plant and Sabah International Convention Centre. Sabah’s structure plan for 2033 aims to turn the state into a world-class environment for work, study and play.

Charles Pfauwadel, Regional Director – South East Asia, Airswift said: “At Airswift we’ve always believed it’s vital to have the right people in the right locations for our clients, so this new office is an exciting step. One quarter of Malaysia’s petroleum and natural gas are in Sabah’s waters so this location is an ideal fit.

“Our clients will now be able to move employees across Malaysia while maintaining a single employer – providing a simple, fast and efficient way to mobilise personnel. With more people on the ground, we can offer candidates and contractors personal, tailored support when they are on assignment.”

Airswift now has 55 offices and employs more than 800 people worldwide. The company also manages a deployed workforce of more than 6,000 contactors worldwide.

The office is located at 8-1, 8th Floor, Suria Sabah Shopping Mall, 1, Jalan Tun Fuad Stephens, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, 88000, Malaysia
