Airswift, a leading global workforce solutions provider to the engineering and technology sectors, recently collaborated with LiteHaus International to make a significant impact on the lives of children throughout Papua New Guinea.
As part of its ongoing commitment to serving and benefiting the communities and industries it operates in, Airswift donated 24 desktop computers to LiteHaus International, a non-profit charity dedicated to facilitating digital learning opportunities and inspiring young minds across the country. Research conducted by LiteHaus International shows that 85% of students across PNG have never used a computer before they enter a Litehaus International digital classroom. Their initiative aims to enhance the educational experiences for thousands of children in Papua New Guinea.
Samantha Suradi, Senior Operations Manager at Airswift, expressed her enthusiasm for partnering with Litehaus International, saying, "Litehaus works tirelessly to establish digital classrooms in primary schools across Papua New Guinea. In today's digital age, it is crucial for us to give back and support local organisations that contribute to the education of children."
Students of Winyi Primary School eagerly gather to receive the computers.
In April, four of the donated computers reached their destination at Winyi Primary School, sparking excitement among the principal, teachers, and students who eagerly gathered to receive the desktops. Mr. Wanbis Pama, Principal of Winyi Primary School, conveyed his gratitude on behalf of the Board of Management, staff, students, and surrounding communities, stating, "We sincerely thank Airswift for this historic donation of computers, which will undoubtedly transform the educational landscape at our school."
Suradi highlighted the motivation behind Airswift's involvement with LiteHaus International, stating, "We were introduced to LiteHaus International last year and were deeply impressed by their commitment to delivering quality education to schools in Papua New Guinea. Airswift is devoted to fostering sustainability, and we firmly believe that we can make a positive impact on the environment by making conscious choices and utilising opportunities to encourage best practices for the future." Suradi continued, "By incorporating the principles of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle into all our initiatives, we are excited to collaborate with LiteHaus International in making a lasting difference."
Airswift has been an ardent supporter of various organisations and charitable causes, working closely with local communities worldwide. In 2018, Airswift partnered with the Papua New Guinea Cancer Foundation and has since been a proud supporter of the annual Pinktober campaign and PNGCF fundraiser initiative. Notably, Airswift PNG raised an impressive sum of US $31,506 through their dedicated efforts.
Airswift is proud to have worked with LiteHaus International, whose impact on education in Papua New Guinea is set to reach new heights. By harnessing the power of technology, children in remote areas will now have access to digital learning resources that will shape their futures. Airswift remains steadfast in its commitment to creating sustainable communities and looks forward to continuing its mission of supporting local organisations that drive positive change.
