Global workforce solutions provider assembles executive team of exceptional talent

HOUSTON,TX, 20th June 2018: Airswift, the global workforce solutions provider for the energy, process and infrastructure sectors, has announced the following changes:

Current COO, Janette Marx will become the Group CEO. In a move designed to harness the power of its senior talent and enable the company to seize the abundance of international market opportunities its sees, Chairman, Ian Langley, becomes The Senior Independent Director and current CEO, Peter Searle, will take on the role of Executive Chairman.

This triumvirate worked seamlessly to ensure the successful merger of Swift Worldwide Resources (Swift) and Air Energi in 2016, creating the ~$1 billion turnover company, Airswift. These new roles will allow the trio to focus their energies and drive growth as Airswift looks to become the dominant player across all its markets.

Marx, who has been Airswift’s COO, had a similar role at Swift and is an acknowledged industry leader with a 20-year track record in a range of senior management roles with Adecco Group. Along the way she has received numerous industry accolades. She features in the SIA’s Global 100 Power Women in Staffing, has recently won both a ‘Breakthrough Woman’ award recognising her contribution to industry and a Bullseye award for leadership in staffing.

Enthusing about her new position, Marx said: “I am so proud to be given the chance to lead a truly global business that has such a fantastic culture, is packed with talent at all levels and is trusted by clients to help manage their most important asset – their people. I am grateful to both Ian and Peter for their mentoring over recent years and look forward to working with both of them and the global Airswift team to make the most of strengthening market conditions.”

Peter Searle, who earlier this year was described as an ‘industry titan’ by Recruiter Magazine, said: “As a management team we are looking forward to the next phase of Airswift’s journey. Janette has excelled as COO, demonstrating exceptional leadership qualities. She is hugely ambitious for both our clients’ businesses and our own. And she possess precisely the right combination of operational experience and passion for customer care to meet those ambitions. I know she will inspire our people to achieve even more.

“At the same time, it is fantastic that Ian, who founded the business 30 years ago with the vision to create a company of the size and reach to be the single point of contact for all our clients’ workforce needs, will continue to be highly involved. His unparalleled knowledge and expertise will be invaluable as we embark on the next chapter in the Airswift story. For my part, I relish the chance to help cement our position as the partner of choice for businesses looking for long-term, problem-solving workforce solutions.”

Founder, Ian Langley, concurred: “I am more confident than ever about our prospects. I believe these new, better defined, roles for the senior team will help concentrate our top minds to deliver even more for our clients and the business. Both Janette and Peter have been instrumental in growing the company over recent years and these positions will enable them to combine their talents in a highly productive way. I believe that the business is exceptionally well placed to take advantage of improved market conditions and we couldn’t be more excited about the future.”

The new appointments follow a period of rapid expansion for Airswift, which now boasts more than 60 offices worldwide. The last year has seen the company open new premises in Sabah, Mauritania, Senegal, Guyana and Mexico.
