Background

Our client, a healthcare support service provider responsible for sourcing biomedical engineers in more than 27 countries worldwide required local and international Biomedical Engineers to work across 14 medical centres in Afghanistan.

Challenge

  • Local candidates from the national army, police and department of defence could not be considered due to security reasons
  • International expatriates would need to speak the required languages
  • Security measures were needed, as one of the medical centres can only be reached by air transport due to increased risk of attacks on ground transportation

Airswift Solution

Airswift began the search and recruitment of both local and expatriate requirements, using a translator to assist with any language barriers and ensure the suitability of candidates. Airswift vetted candidates for education and work backgrounds, ensuring they possessed no previous military experience. Airswift also organised candidates to work on a rotational basis to allow for continuous training of personnel on the project.

Results

Airswift became the preferred supplier for local and international candidates for biomedical engineering solutions.
