A leading fintech start-up required a Lead Database Developer to support its rapid expansion across SE Asia
A leading fintech start-up was keen to expand their Database Development team, to support their rapid expansion across South East Asia. To achieve this ambition, the company created a new role for a Lead Database Developer, which would report directly into the General Manager.
The main challenge was to identify someone with proven expertise in people management, C# scripting and SSIS package development. After three months of searching, the company were unable to secure the right person, which further delayed their expansion plans.
As this role was hard to fill, we proposed the following methodology
After a two-week search, Airswift was able to identify two highly experienced candidates that were shortlisted to meet with our client. These candidates both had the required skills and looked to be a good fit for the organisation. After two rounds of interviews, our client offered the strongest candidate the position. The candidate had received a counteroffer from his current employer. However, having clearly mapped out the brand proposition with the client and discussing the candidates career goals, we were able to secure a timely offer acceptance. The candidate started within one month and successfully passed his probation period.
