Our client is a fossil fuel company formed in 1997 with a primary focus in Papua New Guinea. Its assets include Elk-Antelope, one of Asia’s largest, undeveloped gas fields in the Gulf Province.
Prior to its acquisition by another firm in 2016, the company needed assistance relocating critical staff from their closing office in Cairns, Australia to Papua New Guinea. In addition, new positions would need to be filled with local and expatriate personnel.
Airswift was selected to mobilising existing staff and was awarded a contract to provide a Resourcing Advisor to the client to better support the recruitment of Papua New Guinean personnel.
Airswift’s Resourcing Advisor quickly identified local personnel in Papua New Guinea, while our Global Mobility team ensured a compliant and efficient mobilisation of existing staff through our office in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.
Airswift provided full Global Mobility solutions including 24/7 emergency support, travel coordination, airport meet and greet, visa and work permits, medical insurance, income tax remittance and payroll services.
Airswift successfully mobilised existing staff and placed contractors across seven disciplines, including Engineering & Design, HSEQ, Drilling & Completions, Project Controls, Construction & Commissioning, Subsurface and Operations & Maintenance. Over 35 per cent of the workforce were local personnel.
