Job Title: Data Specialist

Location: Houston, TX

Employment Type: 12-Month Contract (W2 only)

Work Schedule: Initially onsite with potential for a hybrid arrangement

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Specialist to join our office in Houston. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting GHG reporting requirements by creating and maintaining tools and processes for QA/QC and reporting of GHG data. This position requires a proactive approach to database management, analytical problem-solving, and effective communication with multiple teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain tools and dashboards to support teams in monitoring GHG and related data.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for existing workflows and database management.
  • Design and maintain databases/solutions to support various business practices and requirements.
  • Provide mentorship in Spotfire, Alteryx, and database querying to technical staff.
  • Compile, manipulate, and analyze data from various sources to support technical analysis and benchmarking.
  • Create operational performance and variance tracking reports using software such as Spotfire and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Develop customized forms, analysis, presentations, and reports as needed.
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with teams across all asset groups and operations functions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates of GHG and other related data.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in SAP PM, ProCount, Daily Drilling, and Completions Reporting systems.
  • Expertise in Python and Spotfire.
  • Strong skills in database queries and data management using Alteryx, SQL, Excel, Snowflake
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a technical support role, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Independent thinker with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with GIS, SQL Query, SAP, and Wellview.

Contract Details:

  • This is a W2 contract position not open to 1099, C2C, and does not provide sponsorship.
