TCO is a joint venture between Chevron, ExxonMobil, KazMunaiGaz, and LUKArco. The venture was initially formed in April 1993 as a 40-year project to develop the Tengiz oil field.

The 'Future Growth Project' is an expansion of TCO's oil and gas production facilities in western Kazakhstan. This project has and will create thousands of jobs for locals and ex-pats to expand the facilities.
