Global leader of performance additives and chemical intermediates in the rubber, plastic and coating industries is currently expanding and looking for highly motivated individuals to join them as APAC Technical Service Manager as part of their of growth strategy in Asia.

Job Responsibilities:
 
  • Work with Account Managers to identify accounts willing to partner with our company for value-based selling approaches.
  • Help customers reach maximum benefit from our products by providing on-site and remote support during pitches and trials.
  • Build strong relations with key technical influencers and decision makers within assigned markets, with a goal that problems / opportunities are presented to our company to develop solutions.
  • Develop blend sheets and testing protocols for lab team to demonstrate performance of our products / applications vs competitor products.
  • Translate results into value propositions and support commercial team to deliver proposition and secure the sale of existing products in the portfolio.
  • Be the technical and application expert, providing understanding of the industry through training, both internally and at distributors.
  • Identification of new value-creation opportunities

Requirements:
 
  • Degree Holder in Organic Chemistry, Plastics, Polymers, Material Science or Engineering Field
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in assigned SBU, its chemistry, technology and application
  • Experience in design formulations, experiments and converting test results into value propositions
  • Experience presenting technical results to customers and converting to a sale
  • Knowledge of antioxidants for plastics synthesis & applications are strongly preferred
  • The potential candidate will provide technical support to customers in South East Asia and China regions. Therefore, candidates with local language capabilities will be preferred
