Airswift is looking for an Assistant Accountant for a O&G client.
Location: Macaé

New role to support finance and admin manager (Brazil). The expansion of the Brazilian office means that the accounts payable and facility management responsibilities are now much more extensive and will continue to grow. This role is required to support this growth within the local team.

To provide integral support to the finance team in Brazil by managing the purchase
ledger for Brazil, supporting the management accounts function and assisting with facility management duties.
Role is to:
·       Be responsible managing purchase ledger administration for Brazil
·       Manage and review the PO process, escalating any issues of non-compliance to senior management
·       Interface with internal and external suppliers including reconciliation of supplier statements
·       Monthly bank reconciliations for Brazil
·       Support in the monthly management accounts for Brazil
·       Assist with updating the weekly and monthly cash flow model
·       Assist with raising Notas Fiscais
·       Support finance and admin manager in local office management duties
Any other ad hoc duties as requested by the line manager

Basic knowledge in purchasing taxes and withholding taxes, receiving purchasing notas fiscais, raising sales notas fiscais, general tax coding, local payment processing, cash forecasting, keeping payments pre-schedule, etc.

Accounting degree is preferred, or qualification by experience

Minimum 3 years experience, preferably within the oil and gas industry

Fluent English speaking
