As a Business Development Manager, the primary responsibility will be to develop and establish a business pipeline with clients internationally. The focus of this role will be on delivering LNG (liquefied natural gas) commercial activities such as identifying potential clients, building relationships, negotiating deals, and promoting the company's LNG offerings in the global market.
Responsibilities:
- Seek out new business and revenue opportunities through business and market analyses both locally and regionally
- Identify and engage with potential partners, relevant authorities, industry stakeholders and key decision makers to deliver on new business opportunities
- Cultivate, engage and manage existing customer accounts to secure contract renewals
- Monitors competition by gathering market intelligence and trends and recommending changes in positioning, services and pricing strategies
- Organise and participate in industry networking events and customer engagement activities to increase brand value and awareness and build customer preference
- Spearhead the expansion into new markets, overseeing the negotiation process, and successfully executing long-term agreements.
- Formulating and communicating a comprehensive portfolio
- Development of a procurement plan specifically focused on securing long-term LNG contracts.
- Providing detailed reporting on current and new initiatives
- Analysis of market trend of LNG international spot and long-term/short-term trading
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in engineering
- Min. 10 years in management level position in the maritime industry with knowledge of shipping of LNG, Fuel Oil, lubricants, and LPG products.
- Min. 18 years work experience in Business Development management
- Possess a decade or more of experience in executive leadership roles, specializing in networking within the international market, specifically focusing on the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions.
- Demonstrated success in business development within the LNG sector, with a proven track record of accomplishments.
- Preference for expertise in LNG origination, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of LNG commercial dynamics and a thorough grasp of the entire LNG cycle
- Capable of leading negotiation, and execution of opportunities, entry into new markets, JVs, and infrastructure investment opportunities.
- Possess a proven track record in business development and sales in Gas and LNG experience is required
- Owner operator experience is preferred
