We are a multi-energy company committed to a sustainable world, with a vision of the future based on innovation, efficiency, respect and value creation to drive society's progress, and we are looking for a Commercial and Business Development Analyst to work closely with the Commercial and Business Development team, ensuring the timely and accurate analysis of existing and new business opportunities, assisting in the fulfilment of commercial obligations and the management and execution of a range of standard commercial agreements.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and own financial and economic models to evaluate existing and new business opportunities, identifying value drivers, risks, and potential
  • Ensure timely and accurate analysis of contracts, commercial and regulatory obligations, and new business opportunities through the creation of fit-for-purpose models
  • Support compliance with infrastructure owner, third-party, regulatory, and internal obligations by analyzing existing contracts and commercial terms
  • Assist in the delivery of timely analyses to ensure adherence to obligations
  • Collaborate with Commercial & BD Advisors, cross-functional departments, and external parties to draft, negotiate, and execute standard commercial agreements
  • Support the negotiation process by providing high-quality analyses, including reviews of tariffs, transactions, and third-party terms
  • Ensure the accuracy of public data on the company website (including the Oil and Gas UK Commercial/Infrastructure Code of Practice) and external data providers such as WoodMac, Westwood, etc.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business development opportunities aligned with asset strategies, such as third party tieback options
  • Support internal planning processes by providing insights on key commercial and contractual matters
  • Contribute to functional objectives, knowledge sharing, networking and lessons learned.
Professional Skills and Experience
  • Good UK sector industry knowledge
  • Understanding and ability to develop complex financial and economic models
  • Strong ability to articulate and present information verbally and in written reports
  • Project management experience involving multi-cultural and disciplined teams
  • Skilled in standard business software and IT systems, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    Educational Qualification certifications
  • Degree qualified in a financial, business or engineering-based discipline or relevant experience in a similar role
** The role may require travelling offshore for certain business requirements
