We are seeking a Commissioning Supervisor to join our team for a 1-year contract in Carlsbad, New Mexico. This is a full-time position with the possibility of extension. As a Commissioning Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of our project commissioning and handover plan to operations. Role Overview

  • Plan and execute project commissioning and handover plan to operations
  • Evaluate and comment on discipline engineering work performed by contractors and sub-contractors
  • Ensure work is executed in accordance with project specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Facilitate effective execution of discipline engineering and design routines
  • Communicate progress and issues to project team and company functions
  • Demonstrate sound communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
  • Deliver implementation and ownership of company's Guidance on Certification (GOC) process
  • Act as a role model for health, safety, security, and environment (HSSE) culture
  • Work with engineering contractors to ensure integration of system breakdown into engineering work packages
  • Ensure development of handover testing documentation by engineering contractors
  • Ensure off-site fabrication sites understand and perform testing and documentation requirements
  • Ensure on-site construction management teams and contractors understand and perform GOC requirements
  • Participate in engineering package reviews and provide input to design team
  • Assist with cost estimates and schedules
  • Ensure required resources are available for timely and cost-effective completion of checkout and commissioning
  • Anticipate and resolve problems encountered in the field to prevent rework or retesting

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a closely related position
  • Track record for HSSE leadership and delivery
  • Knowledge of commissioning turnover systems
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Broad and extensive knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and safety criteria
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
  • Fluent in English for technical and business communications

Education & Experience

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in engineering or project management advantageous
  • Experience: Minimum 5-6 years of experience in commissioning or related field
