Our business
Our EPC contractor client are recruiting for a Construction Piping Supervisor to join their team in The Hague, Netherlands. This position requires significant supervision of all levels of personnel.  The Construction Supervisor will be accountable for technical direction and administration of all project construction activities on the project.

Key Responsibilities and background:
The Construction Piping Supervisor shall deliver bespoke tailored services to a diverse range of clients.
  • Makes sure that the Construction Contractor follows the project health, environmental protection, safety, wellbeing Plan.
  • Attends daily coordination meetings.
  • Keeps record of the quality of the work performed.
  • Make sure to understand the agreed physical progress measurement systems for field activities.
  • Defines scope of work for work that may/might be classified as extra work. Handles within boundaries, set by the team.
  • Defines scope of work for work that may/might be classified as extra work. Obtains the approval of Construction Management prior to execution of extra work.
  • Inspects prefabricated materials as received to ensure correct fabrication and markings.
  • Makes sure to be informed about the activities to be executed by Construction Contractors and Vendor Specialist for the coming period.
  • Make sure to understand the contractual quality requirements for Construction work to be performed under his supervision.
  • Reports to Construction Management the physical progress, etc. of the construction contract(s) and vendor specialists.
  • Advises the Construction Manager on the performance of the Constructor Contractors and Vendor Specialists.
  • Ensures to be informed about material delivery problems.
  • Provides support to the Pre-commissioning and Commissioning Team.
  • Processing of site queries.
  • Punch-out of piping systems.
  • Coordination in punch listing solving.
  • Participate in the development, communication and implementation of the field QA/QC plan.
  • Enforce the Field QA/QC plan and ITP with all subcontractors and on-site personnel.
  • Ensure that no work is performed by any subcontractor without properly approved submittals, shop drawings and/or engineering documents and that all work requiring special field inspection and testing is so inspected and tested.


Skills/Qualifications:
  • Relevant field experience in Oil & Gas industry on EPC projects
  • Relevant proven experience in Site Supervision activities of Petrochemical / Chemical / Oil & Gas / Refineries / Fertilizer projects
  • Bachelor or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or other engineering discipline
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Fluency in English, Dutch is nice to have. 
  • Residence in the Netherlands or European borders.
  • Have worked on multiple EPCm projects
