As a Contract Corrosion Technician, you will have the opportunity to work full-time for a year in Port Moresby, National Capital District, Papua New Guinea. Join us and gain hands-on experience with our current corrosion technicians while providing support to all sites.
Role Overview
- Maintainability Reviews: Conduct reviews to ensure the reliability and maintainability of equipment.
- Cathodic Protection: Perform routine monitoring and inspection activities with a focus on cathodic protection.
- Corrosion: Utilize your knowledge of corrosion to assist in scoping and maintenance activities.
- Maintenance Schedules: Develop and maintain schedules for preventative maintenance.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on field corrosion control systems.
- Maintenance: Assist the corrosion engineer in scheduling and conducting inspections.
- Corrosion Monitoring (Optional): Utilize your expertise in corrosion monitoring to enhance our operations.
- Inspection Activities (Optional): Assist in scoping and conducting inspections for our integrity program.
- Maintenance for Field Corrosion Control System (Optional): Perform routine maintenance on field corrosion control systems.
- Scheduling and Conducting Inspections (Optional): Assist in scheduling and conducting inspections for our integrity program.
- Planning Work Scopes and Schedules for Integrity Program Activities (Optional): Utilize your skills to plan work scopes and schedules for our integrity program activities.
- Entry of Inspection and Survey Data into Programmatic Databases (Optional): Ensure accurate data entry into our programmatic databases.
- Surveillance and Reporting - Electrical Control and Maintenance System (ECMS) (Optional): Monitor and report on the performance of our electrical control and maintenance system.
- Scoping Works for Plant Modifications and Repairs (Optional): Utilize your expertise to scope works for plant modifications and repairs.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous Experience: Bring your previous experience in a closely related position to make an immediate impact.
- Certifications (if applicable): Possess any relevant certifications or equivalent professional experience.
- Effective Communication: Communicate clearly and concisely to describe field conditions and recommend remediation steps.
- Team Player: Collaborate effectively with team members, even those over whom you may have no direct authority.
- Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Utilize your proficiency in Microsoft Office programs to enhance our operations.
Education & Experience
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience preferred.
- Certifications (if applicable): Possess any relevant certifications or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar role with experience in corrosion, maintenance, and inspection activities.
