Are you ready to take on the role of Corrosive Control QAQC and ensure the safe and efficient operation of our client's workshop in Londolovit, Papua New Guinea? As a permanent, full-time employee, you will be responsible for maintaining strict QAQC procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations, and leading a team to achieve exceptional results.

Role Overview

  • Accountability for the safe workshop operation and delivery of all services, including accurate documentation, regular inspections, and immediate rectification of issues.
  • Ensuring all corrosion control processes meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Leading and managing QAQC teams effectively, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Providing relevant technical and commercial information, training, and equipment to workshop personnel for professional outcomes.
  • Conducting annual, probationary, and ad-hoc performance reviews of operational staff.
  • Reporting to the Operations Manager on detailed analysis and reports on QAQC processes, improvements, and outcomes performance against key metrics.
  • Achieving and maintaining all agreed individual KPIs.
  • Contributing to the safety and wellbeing of all workshop personnel through adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Managing and maintaining a healthy industrial relations environment for all work fronts.
  • Delivering timely and accurate maintenance reports to the Operations Manager.
  • Working collectively with the Operations Manager to achieve company KPIs and goals.

Skills & Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in a senior supervisory position with accountability for maintenance budgets.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience working in a contracting environment within processing plants and corrosive control or heavy industrial industries.
  • Strong working knowledge of HR and HSE legislation and practices within processing plants and corrosive control or heavy industrial industries.
  • Sound knowledge of operational management, including working comprehension of operating expenses, gross margins, cost/time/productivity management, client and contract management, and budgeting.
  • Strong negotiating and presentation skills.
  • Minimum of 10 years in corrosion control with hands-on experience.
  • Possesses a NACE certificate, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Proficient in identifying and remedying technical issues related to corrosion, implementing solutions effectively.
  • Familiarity with the latest tools and technologies in corrosion prevention and control.
  • Working knowledge and training in cost reporting.
  • Conversant with WHS standards and expectations within processing plants and corrosive control or heavy industrial industries.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs.
  • Recognized team player with the ability to lead, motivate, and build teams.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Professional personal presentation.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Approachable, fair, and equitable in both business and personal dealings.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences or related field preferred.
  • NACE certificate required.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in corrosion control with hands-on experience.
  • Experience in facility safety, environmental risk assessment, risk management, and WHS standards preferred.
