Activities Cost Control Activities
• Implement effective cost controls for the project. Including recording, controlling, forecasting and reporting of cost, change, progress, invoicing, authorizations of expenditure and cash flow projections. • Preparation of weekly and monthly cost reports and other financial analysis for the project.
• Support the preparation of annual budgets and budget updates in conjunction with engineering and construction team members.
• Support the Offshore Project Controls Lead in promoting and tracking the identification of potential cost threats & opportunities.
• Calculate and document the monthly Value of Work Done (VOWD) in accordance with Project procedures.
• Provide ad-hoc cost control support / advice to project team members and project management.
• Complete timely review of invoices to ensure payment in accordance with contract terms.
• Assist in the cost assessment of any EPC contract variations.
• Administer the project team use of the TotalEnergies Request For Services work process.
• Input and analyze data in the cost control applications to ensure project data integrity.
• Other cost control tasks as required by Cost Control Manager and/or Offshore Project Controls Lead. • Support gathering of cost control ‘lessons learnt’ and provide feedback to other project departments and/or TotalEnergies entities.
• Ensure strict confidentiality of all the Budget and Cost documentation. Interface with Finance & Audit Support Activities
• Perform invoice verification & finance assurance activities in accordance with project procedures.
• Prepare monthly Sarbanes & Oxley deliverables and support any other audit requirements.
• Provide input into the SAP UNISOL System, regarding payment schedules (cash calls), invoicing and cost control issues as required.
• Liaise actively with Finance Department for all matters related to cost and accounting as required. General Requirements
• Ensures corporate guidelines and processes are implemented and followed within the project.
• Responsible for personal safety including compliance with initiatives such as safe working practices, etc.
• Understand and follow Project HSE procedures organization and planning of activities
Qualifications/Experience required :
Minimum Education: Engineer and/or Bachelor degree in Business Management or similar Minimum Experience: 5+ years of experience in major oil and gas project cost control Required Skills /Certifications:
• Major Oil and Gas project developments knowledge and experience, with Partner and Government reporting interfaces
• Excellent commitment to performing timely deliverables and meeting challenging deadlines
• Promotes team spirit with ability to work closely with various stakeholders (international teams, vendors & subcontractors, affiliates, HQ, etc.)
• Strong communication and proficient presentation skills
• Knowledgeable and experienced with cost engineering principles and methods including budgeting and forecasting, change management, management systems/procedures, Cost and Work Breakdown Structures, Earned Value Systems and contingency management.
• Budget and Cost Control tools: SAP (UNISOL), U-Cost, Excel, PowerBI, Knowledge of rules/procedures Language Requirements: Fluent English required. French and Portuguese language skills will assist performance
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The position activities will be performed in close collaboration and coordination with the Project Management. The job holder will play an essential role in ensuring project budgets are proactively managed, accurately forecasted and implemented with the required level of project team ownership/accountability;
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENTAL:
In September 2019, a few months after project FID, s acquired Anadarko’s operating share (26.5%) of MozLNG Area 1 alongside several Partners from Japan, India and Thailand, and the Mozambiquan National Oil company, ENH. This is the first operated development in Mozambique.
