Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with manufacturer’s representatives to establish and maintain customer relationships and secure opportunities to service existing business and generate new business to meet and exceed company sales goals.
- Extensive air and ground travel is required, up to and at times exceeding 60% locally
- Obtain and review customer specifications and, working with appropriate Inside Sales and Engineering personnel, provide proposals for products to meet customers’ needs
- Negotiate with customers to obtain orders and close sales
- Evaluate effectiveness of manufacturer’s reps and provide suggestions to management concerning addition or changes
- Assist management in projecting sales in designated region based on past performance and current business climate in the region
- Perform other duties as assigned, based on workload and business need
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in company or industry that sells through manufacturers’ representatives;
- Experience with the sale of pressure relief products is preferred but not a must
- In-depth working knowledge of all products, applications, installation instructions and product-related procedures
- Ability to read blueprints
- Excellent communication skills in English
