Key tasks include participating in management and design meetings, facilitating collaboration among design groups, and supporting the preparation of technical concept descriptions. The Design Manager will attend site meetings, negotiate with suppliers, and represent the employer in technical discussions during project execution. They will also oversee engineering resources, manage schedules, and implement corrective actions as required.
Other responsibilities include evaluating technical tenders, conducting layout reviews, and ensuring compliance with safety and work environment standards.
Experience:
Candidates should have experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams on large-scale power or process plant projects. Familiarity with tender preparation and evaluation processes is essential.
Education:
A degree in engineering (mechanical, process, or electrical) or a related technical discipline is required.
