Our client is looking for a E&I Field Coordinator to join their team in Texas City, TX on an initial one-year contract.

Overview:  
This position is responsible for supporting the project construction organization providing day to day E&I field coordination with execution contractors. This position interfaces with operations, execution contractor and the supporting project execution team. We are seeking a motivated, team oriented individual to monitor construction work quality, efficiency, and help eliminate obstacles that are impeding construction work progress. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Interact daily with company construction leads, operations, and construction contractors to progress project construction activities. 
  • Provide field construction support serving as a liaison between project engineers, operations, and construction contractors for refinery capital and expense projects.
  • Monitors daily progress and provides weekly field updates. 
  • Actively review and manage daily and weekly field manpower plans with contractor. 
  • Provide coordination support between E&I and supporting soft craft, mechanical and civil trades. 
  • Review construction work packages, participate in field walks with contract planners to provide input for planning and scheduling logic. 
  • Participate in reviews of contractor Primavera P6 plans prior to incorporating in a master construction schedule. 
  • Participate in constructability reviews between multi-disciplinary construction teams.
  • Propose solutions and support resolution of RFI's and field issues during the project construction phase. 
  • Work with operations to develop and incorporate equipment outage schedules as it pertains to project scope. 
  • Assist with work package turnover strategy and support system turnover process. 
  • Be familiar with and know how to find company Specifications and Standards related to construction. 
  • Support turnarounds for assigned project construction scope.
  • Provide accurate validation of weekly updates for all active projects in the implementation phase. 
  • Upholds adherence to Company Personal Safety, Process Safety and Environmental Stewardship philosophies during execution of project construction activities.
  • Participate in job site safety audits for compliance to company critical safety rules and site Safe Work Permitting policies.
