Electrical Field Engineer (HV)

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards
• Collaborate with various government / rail operator divisions to integrate safety practices into daily operations.
• Develop and review Safe Work Method statements
• Representing the client, ensure correct processes are set up so that contractors can deliver and comply with rail safety standards
• Monitor and analyse safety performance metrics, preparing reports and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and participate in regulatory audits and inspections.

• 7+ years’ Safety Management experience on significant transport infrastructure projects
• Relevant Qualification / Certificate within WHS / OHS / HSEQ
• Previous experience working on TMR Projects (QLD)
• Exposure to consulting, client-side environment is desirable 
• Current Drivers Licence
• In-depth knowledge of Australian Rail Safety standards and regulations

Airswift is searching for a Piping Designer to work near Charleston, WV on a 1+ year contract with one of our major clients.

Piping Designer II
Contract
Location: Charleston, WV

Purpose:

Under some supervision within the piping discipline, you will assist with the delivery of design and drafting services to company's and its customers.

Responsibilities:

• You will participate in the Interactive planning meeting to help develop schedule development to establish major milestones 
• Be knowledgeable of client procedures, and project procedures and specifications 
• Identify and request information in the form of a 'Needs List' to maintain schedule. 
• Utilize 3D model (PDMS/E3D/Navisworks) review software to monitor design quality and progress 
• Coordinate the design effort with other engineering disciplines 
• Participate in all design reviews for the project.
• Piping Designer with PDMS/E3D & Field experience to perform Field Walk down of existing P&ID’s, shoot elevation with level & tripod, Locating tie point dimensionally, and Routing pipe through existing facilities. Bring that back to the office and inputting the field data into the PDMS/E3D model. 
• Some projects will utilize laser scanning so experience locating tie point in the scan, and routing pipe through existing facilities within the scan and PDMS/E3D will be required.
• Experience with executing projects within existing facilities with lots of obstructions and other design constraints.

Technical and Industry Experience: 

• Basic experience in Piping Design
• PDMS/E3D Design and Draft experience
• Must have thorough knowledge and understanding of PID's for Production design
• Must be able to provide Piping Isometrics utilizing PDMS design software
• Must be able to verify Manhour estimates of design for cost control
• Coordinates/Integrates piping package with other design disciplines
• Required Safety program and presentation participation
• Knowledge of SharePoint is a plus
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint is a plus

• Assist Construction Manager to execute and monitor all E&I works
• Ensure all aspects of the works are always carried out in the safest manner
• Managing the installation and testing of Electrical, Instrumentation, Communications, Telecoms and F&G systems
• Supervise the Electrical (HT/LT/MV/LV) installation and testing works
• Supervise the Instrumentation certification and installation works
• Experience in trouble shooting of E&I system/program
• Ensure ITP Compliant and document compilation
• Experience in managing and coordinating with other Building Services
• Ensure the full compliance of Safety and Schedule requirement
• Ensure productivity of labour force against the budget man-hours
• Management of Foremen, Chargehands and crews
• Ensure materials and installation compliance to specifications
• Constant in-situ field inspection to ensure quality of works deliver
• Review Method Statement of Works and preparation of FLRA’s with crews
• Perform FAT and SAT inspection
• Perform system line check, field instrument checks and certification
• Perform calibration, functional check, Loop check and respective testing
• Perform system walk-down, line check and punch-listing
• Trouble shooting and clearing of all punch item and closure
• Experience in Pre-com & COM as well as validation of respective system
• Close coordination with other project team/trade members
• Review and interpret drawing/shop drawing
• Manage sub-contractors and monitor progress and reporting
• Handle Walk-down, Punch-listing, Clearing and Closure
• Interface and Coordinating with Client/QP representative

• E&I Trade back-round
• Minimum 5-10 years’ experience post qualification
• Knowledge of Good Engineering practices
• Well versed in interpretation of Construction drawings to review and comment
• Min 5 years’ experience in Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical and Heavy Industrial Industries
• Familiar with Permit to work environment
• Familiar with FastTrack project environment
• Fit and ready for construction / Oil & Gas /site environment
• Be Independent and Pro active
• Be prepared to be fulltime and at ease in field supervision
