Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the engineering staffs to ensure they provide responsive and timely technical support to sales, manufacturing, and quality to achieve company objectives.
- Oversee all engineering activities to ensure milestones, budgets and customer’s technical expectations are met.
- Review opportunities for new work and provide accurate technical costing to optimize chances of winning work.
- Lead Engineering team in delivering timely New Product Introduction; leverage concurrent engineering as a key value proposition.
- Lead Engineering team in improving product profitability through improved method of manufacture.
- Lead Engineering team in product or process transfers from other internal departments.
- Keep abreast of latest or emerging technologies and spearhead innovation in the business.
- Support product and process transfers to other sister entities.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers to ensure the highest level of performance and standards of excellence.
- Align Engineering team to meet business needs of responsiveness, knowledge retention, succession, and business continuity.
- Minimum an Engineering Degree with minimum over 8years of relevant Aerospace Component Manufacturing, Machining or Metal Fabrication Industry background.
- Strong knowledge in multiple axis CNC machining, heat treat, brazing, stamping, and NDT processes is required.
- Prior Aerospace industry experience will be highly sought after.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and deal with a diverse cultural workforce is a must.
- Strong technical problem solutioning skills and communications skill is needed to communicate across stakeholders at all levels.
