The role
 
The Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading and developing a team of engineers involved in the design, optimization, and continuous improvement of gold processing plants. The role will require a technical leader who can guide the team through complex engineering challenges while managing individual development and ensuring high-quality, efficient execution.

This role is focused on people management and delegation of technical responsibilities. The Engineering Manager will be expected to ensure that engineering tasks are effectively distributed, resources are well allocated, and team members are continually growing in their expertise. In addition, the manager will oversee technical quality assurance and ensure the engineering team consistently adheres to best practices and client specifications.

What you'll need to succeed:

Qualifications:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering discipline.

Experience:
Extensive experience in an EPC/EPCM environment within the mining sector, with a preference for gold mining projects.

Technical Expertise:
Deep knowledge of gold processing technologies, plant design, and operational best practices.
Ability to provide technical leadership and innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges, improving plant efficiency and reducing operational costs.

People Management Skills:
Demonstrated success in managing, mentoring, and developing engineering teams.
Strong ability to delegate tasks effectively and optimize team performance based on individual strengths.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, guide, and mentor engineers.
