Are you ready to take on a key role in the financial management of a major project in Papua New Guinea? As the Finance Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial accuracy and success of our client's operations in Londolovit.
Role Overview
- Strategic Financial Management: Oversee the financial aspects of key contracts and manage cash flow for optimal liquidity.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze month-end reports, manage invoicing and debtor management, and ensure compliance with accounting policies and laws.
- Cost Management: Monitor materials and labor costs, conduct productivity analysis, and manage payroll function.
- Forecasting: Utilize cash flow forecasting and variance reporting to inform decision making.
- Statutory and Compliance: Ensure compliance with income tax and GST responsibilities and manage relationships with external auditors.
- Critical Tasks: Achieve individual KPIs, assist with WHS related KPIs, and work with Business Manager to achieve business goals.
- Key Performance Indicators: Meet targets for lost time injury, medical treated injury, and first aid injury, report hazards and incidents, and promote a zero-tolerance culture for WHS.
Skills & Qualifications
- Banking: Strong knowledge of banking facilities and regulations.
- Capital Cost Estimates: Experience in budget preparation and variance analysis.
- Cash Accounting: Proficient in managing cash flow for optimal liquidity.
- Accountant: Minimum 10 years' experience in financial management position.
- Financial Management (Optional): Experience in financial business process improvement.
- Contract Management (Optional): Knowledge of contract management within mining and metals, civil, construction, or heavy industrial industries.
- Tendering (Optional): Experience in tendering within mining and metals, civil, construction, or heavy industrial industries.
- Estimating (Optional): Knowledge of estimating within mining and metals, civil, construction, or heavy industrial industries.
- Microsoft Office Suite Of Programs: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs.
Education & Experience
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting or commerce preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years' experience in contracting environment within mining and metals, civil, construction, or heavy industrial industries.
