The Project Controls Scheduler will support the Engineering Department in project development and execution. This includes execution of standard budgeting, forecasting, cost control, earned value and change management practices throughout the life of a project.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop communications and reporting networks for data gathering, review, analysis and presentation of recommendations to ensure projects remains on schedule and within budget.
- Communicate schedule status & recommendations to the project teams to maintain the projects within approved budgets and cash flow constraints.
- Work with project teams to develop and maintain project work breakdown structures according to MPC & Project Controls standards.
- Review and maintain project performance measurement systems (Primavera P6) and reports for contractor progress.
- Ensure both MPC and contractors adhere to project control procedures and reporting requirements.
- Support Project Controls Supervisor with monthly portfolio and project status reporting.
- Interface with various departments to gather information, communicate issues, and resolve problems.
- Prepares and keeps current master program and project plans as well as sub project plans for monitoring and tracking.
- Provides information as needed on the content, modification, or presentation of project schedule.
- Identifies and records the impact of work performed and not performed as scheduled. Evaluate actual engineering progress and provide regular schedule updates.
- Interfaces with Operations, Owners, and Subcontractors to discuss impact of work and resolution of problems.
- Contributes to the development of working schedules for Estimating, prior to execution date, which sufficiently illustrates the sequence of work activities and project timeframe.
- Prepares and issues preliminary phased schedules.
- Incorporates resource loading data into schedules as required.
- Consults the appropriate project team members and MPC’s estimating procedures as a means of ensuring that proper planning is completed prior to the commencement of work.
- Assists Project Managers in creating short-term schedules, monitor such schedules to determine impact on master schedule, and help in formulating actions to correct scheduling problems.
- Develop & maintain regular manpower estimates/histograms for current, upcoming, and future work for short term and long-term forecasting manpower needs.
- Perform EVM analysis on projects in engineering phase.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or an equivalent field preferred.
- Computer Proficiencies: Preferred proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Advanced Excel Experience) and experience with SAP. Planning and Scheduling software Primavera P6 is strongly preferred.
- Experience Preferred: Minimum of one year of experience in executing, contracting, planning and scheduling projects work required.

We are supporting a world leading Engineering company looking for a Senior Package Engineer, for a opportunity based in Norway.
You will be integral to establishing offsite facilities for a green ammonia project. Reporting to the Area Manager, this role involves coordinating construction camps, logistics facilities, utilities, and interfacing with Engineering Procurement and Construction Contractors and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive technical solutions for early and enabling works, optimizing project value, and ensuring schedule adherence.
- Develop detailed Request for Tender (RFT) packages for early works and coordinate technical evaluations.
- Assist in obtaining necessary permits and agreements for executing early works.
- Ensure works align with company Vision and Values and are executed safely.
- Develop and execute Scopes of Work, manage project budget, and schedule, and engage with stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Engineering Degree or equivalent.
- 8+ years' Project Engineering experience in Norway, civil construction and logistics exposure preferred.
- Experience with owner/operators and engineering contractors.
- Technical and project engineering expertise in multidisciplinary projects.

FIELD ELECTRICIAN / TECHNICIANS
- Location: Wellington, NS
Roster variants:
- 8 days on, 6 days off.
- 4 days on, 3 days off, plus one on-call weekend with allowance per month.
- Both roster types work 9.5-hour days plus 30-minute break (10hr day)
You will be responsible for:
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting various project systems issues
- Developing standard operating documents for machine maintenance, operations and training
- Overseeing and supervising sub-contractors
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, manuals and schematics.
- Valid electrical qualifications license
- HV electrical qualification desirable
- Valid Australian driver's license
- Experience in electrical maintenance and repairing various types of electrical equipment with preferred experience in renewables and solar.
- Willingness for some roster flexibility for on call and emergency works where required.
- Sound computer skills.
The ability to commute to work daily is crucial when working on either an 8/6 or 4/3 roster (subject to change).
You may also be requested to travel to other solar farms for a pre-determined period of time to support or train.
