Airswift is seeking for a Head of Contract to work in Qatar with a major Oil & Gas Company.
Job Purpose:
- Provide contracts engineering support to the Business Division Manager (CO2 Sequestration Project) ensuring daily management of CO2 Sequestration Project EPC contracts. Provide contractual strategy advice to the Project Management team with respect to change order, variations, and claims.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, law, or business.
- 10 years of experience in contracting related to EPC contracts out of which 5 years in leading role.
Responsibilities:
- Lead project contracting activities in issuing EPC ITT, executing tendering roadmap, and soliciting tender committee and key stakeholders’ alignment and endorsement.
- Develop bid evaluation plans, procedures, and models for evaluating technical bid and commercial bids.
- Execute contract administration activities including provision of timely contractual guidance, tracking project milestones and stewarding contractors’ obligations.
- Manage the global contractual daily requirements and reporting of claim and variation progress. Assess contract agreements to identify and recommend amendments of existing contracts.
- Support CO2 Sequestration Project Management team in handling major change orders and claims and negotiations with EPC contractors.
- Coordinate on legal issues with Legal department under the direction of the Business Division Manager.
- Support development of multiple cost/schedules driven contracting scenarios for feeding into effective contracting strategy workshops.
- Establish procedures of transferring contracts to Operations after demobilizing Project team.
- Coordinate with Contractor to ensure that terms of the contract are fulfilled in compliance with the contract terms and regulations. Prepare and edit contracts between Company and Contractors, handle contractor claims effectively and to resolve issues on behalf of the company and ensure breach of contracts in a timely manner.
- Support Project Management System requirements (Gates system review) and handle project contract’s audit activities.
