Job Title: Instrument/Automation Engineer or Instrument/Electrical Engineer

Location: Oslo, Norway 

Contract Length: 12 months Scope to be extended 

Job Description:

Instrument/Automation Engineer or Instrument/Electrical Engineer with a strong background in control systems and field instrumentation, with experience working on multidisciplinary engineering projects. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems and instrumentation, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and manage System Control Diagrams (SCDs), Cause and Effect diagrams (C&E), Input/Output (IO) lists, and control, shutdown, and alarm philosophies.
- Design and specify field instrumentation, including valves and cabling, and produce associated technical documents such as datasheets, technical requisitions, instrument and cable indexes, and termination drawings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project execution, from conceptual design through to detailed engineering and installation.
- Provide expertise on electrical equipment, including familiarity with single line diagrams and load lists.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Norwegian onshore project regulations and industry standards.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOP studies, and other safety and quality assurance activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Instrumentation, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in project work within multidisciplinary teams.
- Proven expertise in control systems engineering, including the development of SCDs, C&E diagrams, and alarm philosophies.
- Solid knowledge of field instrumentation, valves, and cabling.
- Experience in creating technical documentation, such as datasheets, instrument indexes, and termination drawings.
- Familiarity with electrical systems and equipment, including the interpretation of single line diagrams and load lists.
