Join our team as a Laboratory Technician II and support our client in a big petrochemical industry! This is a full-time contract position located in Nanticoke, Ontario, Canada.
Role Overview
- Perform routine and non-routine laboratory analysis and wet chemistry on product and in-process samples.
- Support plant operations by ensuring quality assurance and control through accurate data generation and record-keeping.
- Calibrate and maintain test equipment to ensure accurate results.
- Utilize analytical instruments to address quality assurance and control issues.
- Prepare chemical stock solutions, reagents, and set preparation standards.
- Receive direction and support from lab supervisors and chemists.
- Work with moderate direction and utilize skills and knowledge to perform job duties.
Education & Experience
- Background in Chemical, Process, or Technical Engineering from a polytechnic institution.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Process, or Technical Engineering preferred.
- Experience in the petrochemical industry advantageous.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proficient in computer usage.
- Preferable experience in quality control systems.
