This position might be described as an expert Paralegal or Law Clerk with some law training but not an attorney.
Position: Law - Paralegal
Location: Docklands Office, Melbourne
Duration: 12-months casual contract
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Research skills, legal administration skills, organization, planning, and attention to detail.
Main Functions
- Provides legal support to assigned attorneys or projects by conducting research, organizing files, scheduling depositions and maintaining records.
- Researches various states’ requirements for licensing and certification requirements and prepares documents as needed.
- Coordinates and gathers input across multiple corporate disciplines including: Accounting, HR, Risk Management and Procurement.
- Maintains files/database to ensure no lapses in certifications.
- Supports on-going projects and monitor compliance with contract requirements/certifications. Minimal work direction needed, highly skilled and knowledgeable to the position.
- Able to supervise other junior paralegals if needed.
