Overall Job Purpose

  • To lead and manage the E3D administration team.
  • Develop, update and maintain databases, catalogue, specifications and customization for the assigned projects. This includes helping and monitoring all Engineering subcontractors of the assigned project.

Core Responsibilities

  • Works as a consultant to the structural, piping, EICT and coordinate actively with engineering subcontractors, vendors, attend meetings and communicate effectively to resolve the database and library issues.
  • Develops customization of 3D modelling to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Develop 3D modelling procedures and updates as per project requirement
  • Propose Improvements to the working method in the 3D modelling
  • Develops workflows for 3D modelling actives for project
  • Reports to Group Lead of Engineering and Design Section in Engineering Management department and to Project Product Manager and System Lead when assigned to a project role.
  • Assist the Project Lead, Piping engineer by generating various reports to ensure the quality of design.
  • Ensure that the requirements are followed so that the resultant 3D model is consistent, easy to navigate and clash-free.
  • Prepare and participate in design reviews with Client and Engineering subcontractors at various stages of the project
  • Provides Technical Support to end-users
  • Project-specific customization of the system and writing macros as per project needs and for further checking the quality of E3D outputs.
  • Work closely with the super users in the project for smooth execution of 3D modelling
  • Plan and conduct training for the discipline designers for their continuous development.
  • Manage project licenses of E3D software

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualification: Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Engineering
Certification(s): Aveva E3D/PDMS course completion or training or Equivalent.
 

Relevant Experience:

  • 15 or more years of experience in a Aveva E3D environment and demonstrated proficiency with Cats/Spec and with material take-off. Knowledge of standard drafting techniques applicable to offshore industry.

Software:

  • Discipline design tools and 3D modeling including AVEVA E3D, MDS, PML and Auto CAD.
