Job Responsibilities:
- All assigned substation projects from conception (Early Stage) through construction and commissioning (Execution).
- In the conceptual phase, work with the Early-Stage Project Manager to support the engineering requirements and scope with the Development Group.
- Training, due diligence, and technical oversight of external engineers of record (EOR) for all assigned substation projects to ensure compliance with required generation interconnection agreements, scope of work documents, project specifications, site-specific design requirements, IEEE, NESC, ASCE, and all other applicable industry codes and standards.
- Securing engineering consulting resources from a list of approved suppliers by developing a scope of work, securing bids, evaluating, and awarding work through NEER’s Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) Group.
- Coordinate with other project stakeholders to develop and secure a substation site, support any engineering updates, data, and permits necessary to design and build the substation.
- Competitively source, select, and contract geotechnical, survey, engineering, and construction services, and support the E&C Cost Estimating Team with scope assumptions.
- Coordination with other groups to ensure that the assigned E&C substation projects are successful. Represent E&C’s internal and external interests on assigned projects, including presentations/briefings on current progress, issues, and risk mitigation in meetings with various levels of management.
- Support Transmission Services during review of interconnection documentation, including system impact studies, facility studies, reactive and harmonic studies, and interconnection agreements, ensuring compliance with all ISO requirements.
- Manage all project long lead major material orders to minimize risk of delays or exceeding the project budget. Assist ISC with all substation project SOW creation, review, approval, and preparation of shopping carts for engineering services and materials in a timely manner.
- Support E&C Estimating with template updates via project feedback, technical support, and scope modifications.
- Collaborate with project engineering resources in various disciplines to determine project priorities, work plans, and lines of demarcation.
- Ensure projects are efficiently, cost-effectively, and safely implemented in accordance with department processes, procedures, industry standards, and policies.
- Support assigned project commissioning activities to meet corporate objectives.
- Support Legal in any regulatory filings, depositions, and/or hearings.
- Collaborate with component OEMs to enhance/adapt their designs to better integrate with NEER’s philosophies.
- Experience in substation design and engineering of High Voltage substation projects.
- Project Engineering and/or Project Management experience with a strong bias for action.
- PMP and/or P.E. in a related discipline is a plus.
- Some travel required within North America.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil/Structural Engineering is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Substation design and engineering of High Voltage substation projects is highly preferred.

Role Overview
- Provide administrative and technical support for Project Engineers and Managers of the Substation Engineering group.
- Utilize Microsoft applications (e.g. Excel, Access, Word, One Note, etc.) to identify and track performance metrics.
- Understand and be familiar with Bulk Electric System Facility Ratings Methodology.
- Review Facility Rating reports for all technologies (e.g. Wind, Solar, Battery Storage, Transmission, etc.).
- Collaborate with Project Engineers, Project Managers, Engineer on Record and Power Generation department to finalize reports in a timely manner.
- Support weekly calls related to Facility Ratings tracking.
- Support assigned project activities to meet corporate objectives.
Skills & Qualifications
- Substation Design experience.
- Knowledge of substations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and One Note.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with remote team members.
Education & Experience

Job Description:
The purpose of this specification is to define the conditions for the performance of the services relating to the studies of a Multi-Purpose Project Assistant, perfectly bilingual in English, to be carried out by the SERVICE PROVIDER within the framework of the Net Zero Teesside Project.
- Assist the Project Team.
- Manage arrival/departure correspondence / Register letters in the various databases of the Project: (GAIA and server) and ensure distributions.
- Manage meeting minutes, weekly reports: numbering, recording, obtaining signatures, issuance and archiving.
- Retrieve correspondence from the Client tool and save it in our databases and ensure its internal distribution.
- Manage the team's travel (plane reservations, hotels, taxis, etc.).
- Organize / Manage meetings (room reservations, video calls, coffee breaks, Wi-Fi, etc.).
- Welcoming visitors / partners.
- Organize animation/communication events.
- Manage various administrative requests.
- Ensure compliance with current HSE rules.
- Manage logistics (moves, floor towers, etc.).
- Manage access to the various Project tools.
- Manage the different Project mailboxes.
- Update dashboards (holidays, tellist, etc.).

- Quality of content (in relation to the volume of information on a given document).
- Quality in the presentation (in relation to the graphics and the ease of reading of the document produced).
- All documents will be written in the language of the contract.
