We are currently representing a leading multinational corporation in the aerospace component manufacturing sector as they expand their operations in Singapore. Reporting to an approachable and knowledgeable Operations Manager, the successful Manufacturing Leader will lead and motivate a production team of 50, focusing on the machining of precision and complex parts to meet customer schedules.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily production, capacity planning, and machine optimization.
  • Foster a motivated and disciplined team, promoting a positive work environment to enhance employee morale.
  • Communicate and coordinate with other cells to ensure efficient parts processing and timely problem resolution.
  • Manage consumable spending, delivery metrics, capacity planning, risk assessments, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE).
  • Conduct routine cell and toolbox meetings effectively.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Build partnerships and work collaboratively to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Lead talent acquisition, performance management, training, and coaching of cell associates to align with business goals, recognizing and rewarding contributions to drive results.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean workspace by implementing and promoting 6S standards.
  • Support and actively participate in Lean/Kaizen initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Minimally 5 years of production/operations supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with effective communication abilities across departments.
  • Detail-oriented, capable of multitasking, and able to manage tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and planning skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Solid understanding of machining and metal fabrication processes.
