Role Overview
- Facilitate and coordinate technical work products for mechanical engineering
- Communicate and resolve issues among the engineering team to ensure safety and regulatory compliance
- Evaluate and provide feedback on work performed by contractors and sub-contractors
- Identify and assess deviations to technical specifications and regulatory requirements
- Steward queries and information requests related to mechanical engineering
- Keep the Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager informed of progress, deviations, and concerns
- Participate in engineering reviews at contractor and subcontractor locations
- Promote capital efficiency in engineering design
- Support internal engineering initiatives as requested by supervisor
Skills & Qualifications
- Professional Engineer in Alberta
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical design standards, specifications, codes, and safety criteria
- Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and changing priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
- Fluent in English for technical and business communications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Certifications in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering or related field
